Does anyone know about the Thursday and Saturday show 8/24-8/26 when are they going on sale and what time. Also is their an hour lock so that the first hour only Illinois has access.

I don't know about that lock out thing, I've never heard of it, but it would be difficult to enforce over the internet I think. The typical rundown for the Chicago weekend is the Thursday show goes onsale a week earlier than most of the other summer shows, then once it is at or near sell out, they announce the Saturday show as well as the Alpine Valley show. BTW, can anyone shed some light on this technique? It is obviously done for a reason, but why? Just curious...

The Thursday show goes on sale this Saturday. Not sure about Saturday since they haven't announced it yet :-?

There is ususally no hold on the tickets, but remember your time zone. If they go on sale at 10am in Chicago, it's 11am in Detroit.

Because they fool a lot of semi-phans into buying thursday, not realizing there will be a Saturday show! Remember, they not only hold off SELLING the tickets until thursday is pretty well sold, they don't ANNOUNCE THE SATURDAY DATE until thursday is well sold!!! Some years Saturday isn't announced until about 3 weeks after Thursday goes on sale, then they announce the date & put it on sale in under a week, which catches some off guard.

Once Saturday goes on sale there's always a bunch of people trying to dump Thursday lawn and hit Saturday. If you're not traveling, Saturday is way more convenient, more party without work the next day, etc.

I've heard of the hour lock before, but I don't think it's ever enforced. I was always able to get tickets in Indiana when the Chicago and Alpine shows went on sale when I lived there.

I have heard of a ticket block before but not for an hour. I know if I go to a TM location in Indiana to buy tickets for an out of state show there is a 15 minute block. However there is no block when it comes to the internet or phone. There are a couple rare occasions where there are only certain states that can buy certain shows.

I dont know what your thinking, The saturday show is always on sale the next week after Thursday goes on sale. Almost always the same day as Alpine goes on sale too.
