I will be trying to score tix to the chicago thurs. show when they go on sale on sat. Via internet and phone. Anyone know the number i need to call to try and get tix on the phone? TIA

You can call any ticketmaster # in the USA. I called Californai once and got Great Wood tickets, two weeks before the show

Not around here, you can't. Can only call the TM # based closest to the venue. We tried that last year for Merriweather tix. Couldn't call or go to TM outlet in PA.

Calling the published ticketmaster phone numbers when large concerts go on sale, ticketmaster usually routes the calls to one of their callcenters. I live in Binghamton, NY and whenever I call ticketmaster (even if just for minor league hockey) - I call our local number and I talk to someone in Virginia - our local outlets don't take calls. Sometimes Ticketbastard will us ANI to identify the area code you are calling from and prevent you from buying tickets if you live out of state (sometimes locals get first dibs). I have never had a problem getting Great Woods, Florida, Merriweather, Pittsburgh tickets by calling our local number. Walking up to a ticketmaster outlet is a different story - the on sale date is usually limited to local outlets. Again, in Binghamton, I can get Great Woods tickets (for acts other than JB) but I have to wait until the next day sometimes.... depends who it is.... if it doesn't sell out, ticketmaster will release the tickets nationally.

What I do is, I go on line, and my friend stands in line. 2 years ago we got shut out. Last year we both got 4 tickets. We sold 4 at cost to phans, and went with the other 4. Just play the odds and keep a phone handy at all times.. You can sell the extra ones... Phins up!!!
