Thursday show is still questionable I got to see if my job allows me. We've done thursday and saturday the past three years, hoping to keep it up. Lacking a hotel room, preferably the Baymont, we are first on the list if someone cancels, until then we are 10 miles away. The tailgate at the Baymont before the venue is a good time.
My whole world lies waiting behind DOOR #3! In the meantime, I am just sippin' on a margarita.........

Tailgating in Chicago
A friend of mine who also is a Tinley Park officer told me (off the record) today that the village is going to allow tailgating for both shows at the Tweeter Center again. Buffett is the only show you CAN tailgate at.
He is pretty sure that the village will allow Tweeter Center to open the parking lot at 3 PM Thursday AND Saturday. He also mentioned that grilling is tolereated to some point.

Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

The last 2 years I have been one of the first 10 cars in the southeast gate at Tinley Park and we weren't allowed through until 4:00. Last year they 'directed' us to the west parking lot and we were in the second row. Is there another parking lot that they open up early?? That would be great!!!

Thank you for saying Tinley Park!!! I get so mad when people say Chicago!!! Nothing against Chicago, its just that some of us little people in the burbs would like to be noticed!RBrei46b wrote:I work part time security at Tweeter in Tinley Park. It is a Tinley Park ordinance variance that states that you can tailgate at Buffett's shows. The parking lots "open" at 3 PM....But it starts filling up at 2!!!
I'm working the Thurs. show but I'll be at the Sat. Show!!

Geez, like it matters...
If we didn't refer to it as Chicago than a lot of people wouldn't even know which show we were talking about. The suburbs are cool too, I'm sure, but most out of towners are looking forward to coming to Chicago to see Jimmy.
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

thursday concert
Hey - just wondering who's going to the Thursday night concert? My fiance and I will be getting in Wednesday night and are staying at the Baymont. It is such a good hotel to tailgate at! Anyone else going and/or staying at the Baymont? We are looking for people to party with!
