Was able to get 4 tickets to Sat. night show and rooms @ the Holiday Inn in Tinley Park! I have nurtured (or brainwashed!) my 10 year old nephew into a huge parrothead. The Chicago show will be his first Buffet show. I don't know who is more excited him or me!!

What's the standard operating procedure at Tinley Park for the Saturday show? Gates open when!? Neighbor and I are talking about building a bar on his flatbed trailer complete with sandy beach and beer bongs!! I wanna know what I can get away with - I don't want to have to beat a Tailgate Nazi with his own riot gear ya now! I've seen "Show us your Boobs for Liquor Shots" people getting tossed out - WHATS WITH THAT!?!?!?!!? I have a case of MArdi Gras Beads and damn it I am using them for something!!! So help me out with some general "Rules to Live by at Tweeter Center" Thanks!
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Tinley park Security guards can be cool at times. I remember last year 2 of them doing the Beer Bong we had.

4 Parrotheads from Kansas City will be at the Sat. night show - our first time phlocking to Chicago! We're staying at the Holiday Inn in Matteson and were wondering where to party pre-concert. Would that be the Holiday Inn at Tinley Park??

I would start there, gates usually open around 3 or 4. I'm waiting for a confirmation from officer friend who works the show...

Gates are usually around 3 or so. Sometimes early, sometimes later----Last year---bunch of us were all at the Holiday Inn down the way from the WORLD MUSIC THEATRE. some people were there at around noon or so---got a few drinks in then hit up the parking lot hard.

Driving up across 4 states for my 2nd Chicago Sat. night show --- looks like it's going to be an annual trip for a while --- I've got the tiki hut and bar set up complete with the tiki torches, artificial turf (so as not to hurt out footsies on the gravel) and normally I pour a little 8' X 3' beach area at the foot of our turf and hut so we can sit in our beach chairs and sink our toes into the sand as we tan, drink and eat !! Didn't do it last year @ Tinley BUT will security object to that sort of thing (refering to the sand) up there .... dont need to get booted over a little sand -- since it is the only thing I cant take back home with me. Never had a problem before but I dont want to start now either. Vets of the Midwest --- What Do You Think?? 8) 8)

Hi HSV! You should be fine with the sand... I would suggest waiting to spread it out until after the parking lot starts to fill around you. They can't exactly boot you out if you're parked in. 8) I think everything in moderation is the key....of course.

And there will probably be multiple pre-party sites, but last year's biggest BN gathering was in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn that's just down the way from the venue.

There are a few spots to pre-party before the 3:00 party at the World. The Holiday Inn usually has a bunch of PH's in the parking lot right after breakfast and start getting the pump oiled up. Theres a campground that less than 10 minuets from the Tweeter Center and that party usually starts Wednesday afternoon and goes thru Sunday.

I live less than 10 minutes from the Tweeter and when I hear of any more, I will let everyone know. I stopped by Holiday Inn and Campground and had a good time at both last year.

PM if you need more specifics.
