Additionally... you could take the Metra train out to Tinley Park, but unfortunately, I don't think you would be able to catch a train back into the city after the show. Your best bet, is to hook up with people that are staying near either of the airports. If you take the L out to an airport, then hitch a ride with PHs to the venue then they can drop you off after the show and you can take the L back into the city. The blue line that runs to and from O'Hare is an all-night train.ejr wrote:No L going to Tinley Park-if you can't hook up with a bus trip, you really will need to rent a car-it is probably about 25-30 miles from Lincoln Park. The Holiday Inn is the other side of the highway from Tweeter, but Tweeter is set back quite a bit so it would be a pretty lengthy walk from there.Lostarlake wrote:Fins up everyone! I will be making my first ever trip to the Windy City area and have some questions regarding getting to the Tweeter Center. We are coming in from the Pittsburgh area for the Saturday show.
We are not familiar with the area and would like to take public transportation to the venue. We are staying in the Linkin Park area and are wondering if we can take the L (or anything else) to the Tinley Park area, and how long would that take. If so, from there how far is the Tinley stop to the Tweeter Center. We're ideally looking for bus trips. We looked into the one at Kincade's, but their busses are leaving at 5:00, and we want to go in as soon as the parking lot opens. Anyone know of any other bus trips? Also, how far is the Holiday Inn to the venue, as we would like to join some of you and party there in the morning.....is it in walking distance?
A response on here or a PM would be greatly appreciated. We're also looking for tickets, but it seems like everyone else is too. Thanks!
Now, you could also caravan with my crew. I live in the city and we are driving out to the venue. It is unfortunately, the only real option if you're interested in tailgating the whole day. PM me if you need further info.

E-mailed that person from the M'ville Webboard ~ And the drum is selling
Few more people jumped in on the bidding war today and I still have 5 days left
On a serious note... guess the co-workers decided that despite a wedding they were gonna hold on to their tickets for the sheer novelty of them

And I have an announcement.......... I do not believe I will be drinking Coronas at this concert
Instead, I believe I'm going to make Saturday a day of Dos Equis Amber longnecks ~
Been thinking bout it and they are the same price PLUS I dont have to mess with any limes b'cause unlike Corona... Dos Equis is smooth and clean and does not require a lime to change it from Skunk beer to a consumable beverage BESIDES that... had some Friday night poolside at my cousins place for the first time in a year and it was just too smoothe and good not to make the switch

Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

Actually they are now scanning tickets, so they do not get torn and you have the full ticket to keep!djtommyt wrote:Buy the ticket and return the stub.HsvParrothead wrote: On a serious note... guess the co-workers decided that despite a wedding they were gonna hold on to their tickets for the sheer novelty of them

I thought of that right after my post... It's kinda nice to keep the ticket original (or the best possible under certain conditions).ejr wrote:Actually they are now scanning tickets, so they do not get torn and you have the full ticket to keep!djtommyt wrote:Buy the ticket and return the stub.HsvParrothead wrote: On a serious note... guess the co-workers decided that despite a wedding they were gonna hold on to their tickets for the sheer novelty of them

I second that. It is often times difficult to take care of a ticket after 8 hours or so of tailgatingdjtommyt wrote:I thought of that right after my post... I consider a wrinkled ticket (and I do save them) a sign of respect for a good party with good friends.finz83 wrote:I second that. It is fun to go on a hunt for your ticket stub the next morning in the pile of clothes you left on the floor because you were too drunk to throw them in the hamper before you pass out half naked in whatever sleeping apparatus you can find.

And hope the article of clothing that the stub is in is still with you and not left someplace else....iuparrothead wrote:It is fun to go on a hunt for your ticket stub the next morning in the pile of clothes you left on the floor because you were too drunk to throw them in the hamper before you pass out half naked in whatever sleeping apparatus you can find.
