Obstructed Views at the Tweeter Center (Chicago)

Post by Steele1161 »

How bad are the obstructed views in the lower sections?

I have never been to Chicago's TweeterCenter.

What is the obstruction??????

the obstruction is the large beams that are throughout the pavillion.

I have had obstructed seats before, and usually you can see by leaning one way or the other.

So if I had tickets in the back of Section 101, say row Z or BB, would I still enjoy the show?

How is it getting tickets at the box office, the day of the shows.

Steele-where you are talking, I don't think the beam is the obstruction. I am on the opposite side of the pavillion, row x with no obstruction. I think the problem is probably that those seats are way to the side, so it would be limited view of the stage-maybe someone else knows more than I do.

I have no experience with the box office the day of the concert, but there certainly will be tickets available in the parking lot, and based on previous years, some pavillion seats will come up in the next few months.

I just thought you said the obstruction is the beams. I have sat in limited view (seats in the corner) and those do not bother me. Are your seats limited view or obstructed by beams?

my seats are clear-no obstruction and no limited view. as I said, i am just not sure if there are beams that far forward, but that is usually what the obstruction is

In section 101 if your in a low set # 1 - 10... maybe more, you may not be able to see the entire stage, probably the right back corner will be blocked. Jim Mayer, Tina and Nadira maybe blocked from view, if they are setup like last year.

The higher numbered seats in Section 101 aren't very good, and if you're seats are lower numbered you can't see much of the stage at all. You will be way over to the side. I think it's ridiculous for the venue to have seats so far over to the side like they are at the Tweeter in Tinley Park.

in the chart I looked at, for section 105, the lower number seats are closer to the stage and the higher number are the outside ones-i have 5-7 and they are not marked obstructed

The seat numbers run from right to left in all sections as you're facing the stage. Low numbers in Section 101 are limited view at best.

just double checked the seating chart-the numbers run from right to left so in Section 101 you would want a high number and in section 105 a low one.

Correct ejr, even standing in the aisle nearer the center, the back corners of the stage are blocked or more....

as in picking up will call tix? Not bad at all...

...as in waiting until the day of to look for tix, well between you, me and the rest of buffett news, I know about 15 people who did this last year and were quite happy, now granted they weren't together, but they did get seats...the box office is open well before the show and most people have tickets so they aren't around the box office...I wouldn't suggest this for saturday as tix are much harder to procure for this show

You can purchase tickets at the will call windows on the day of the Thursday show. You can also find many tickets for sale in the parking lots for face vaule or less (again, for the Thursday show). This does not hold true for the Saturday show.
