Buddy Guy is now listed as performing at Comerica Park on July 4th on the pollstar website. No one else is listed.

I believe that this maybe the "Crossroads guitar festival" featuring bb king, vaughn, John Mayer, eric johnson and Eric Clapton!!!!!!

there is only one "crossroads" show scheduled so far and its at the Cotton Bowl in texas!!!!!

So if this turns out to be true, maybe we might see Buffett, Strait, and Jackson at the Copa this summer after all?

I have no inside info......just a computer and a Detective's Eye
MSU....I tried to follow your logic...truly I did.

Please explain how a 'crossroads' show (what's that?) at the Cotton Bowl means that Buffett, Strait & Jackson would be at Comerica. :???:

When you say vaughn, do you mean Jimmy Vaughn? And John Mayer in with these other CLASSIC guitarists...are you kidding me?? :-?

Well to try and explain, first it doesnt mean there will be a show, I was just trying to show the similarities.

There is only one "crossroads festival" show announced but Buddy Guy is scheduled to play at Comerica, he cant even sellout the State theater so he has to be playing with someone Huge or with a festival to play Comerica, so I just assumed it was a second "Crossroads concert".
How it applies to Jimmy is just coinencedental. Jimmy is playing a Texas stadium show and rumor has it there might be more, Crossroads is a huge stadium tour at the cotton bowl and now might be headed to Comerica.
Im just hanging on any hope for a Michigan show, even though Im going to Indy.
And yes Dr. C I meant Jimmy Vaughn, dont discount Mayer I've seen him twice, just the other day actually, he's not a real good "entertainer" but a hell of a guitarist.

I think Peter Mayer should headline the "guitar festival." If you get a chance to check out the Peter Mayer Group live, don't pass it up.

Msu stirring up the rumor pot again!!!!!!!!!!!

The Kenny Chesney, Unckle Kracker, Rascall Flats show scheduled to be at Pine Knob on August 21st has now been moved to the Joe louis Arena, hmmmmm who could bump Kenny????

hahahha just throwing darts hoping one sticks!!!!

And the Buddy Guy show might also be the Detroit Music Festival, but usually that is just Rap and R$B stuff.

oh and Peter Mayer (not John) will be at the Greenwood coffehouse in Ann Arbor(whoretown) on Oct 29

This is not the Coral Reefer Peter Mayer. It is a folk singer with the same name that has a local following. I think he is from Wisconsin or there abouts.

Using logic similar to MSU's, I think I have this all figured out: If the Tigers win on Opening Day, JB will play at Comerica. But, if they lose, Detroit will get skipped this year.

Hey the tigers did win on opening day!!!!

but I just saw that Darryl hall and john oates are playing at Pine knob on August 24 so it looks like no Jimmy this year at the Knob...

Actually the Knobs lineup so far really sucks in my opinion, the only good show that was suppose to be there (kenny chesney) has been moved to the Joe.

Not that the frigging Boston fiasco is taken care of c'mon JB, put some more dates out there..........like PINE KNOB!! :D

P.S. You're right MSU, the lineup at Pine Knob is pitiful so far! :-? :-?

Still the slightest of chances.........Pine knob just announced the lineup for their bonus "crappy" concerts. The 21st of August is still open, actually as I noted earlier it was being held for Chesney but he was bumped out of it to the Joe. Maybe just maybe theres still hope, not holding my breath but looking forward to Indy. Dr. C did you ever get tickets?

Would be nice if you were right about August MSU. We are going to Indy and Chi though. Nothing better than to have him playing close to home!
