We've got a lake for swimming and I think we might get some food and booze too. :D
We live a little over an hour North of NYC. Feel free to PM me with any questions and please do email me if you plan to come so I can make sure we have enough of everything.
See you on the 5th!
This is going to be a fun weekend! 8)

ROCKVILLE CENTRE-LONG ISLAND

173 Sunrise Hwy. (Rt. 27)
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY 11570
UNITED STATES
1-516-6781300

May be of ierest for those already planning to stay at the Bar Harbour in Massapequa and are looking to change. Just because Rockville centre has a good choice of bars/restaurants very close by. Also the drive to Jones Beach is easy to do and can avoid any traffic.

However, not sure of availability over labor day weekend. Just a thought.

If I remember correctly I think there might have been porta potties in the lot. There is also a big bath house right next to the stadium where the beach is, a short walk from just about any where in the lot.

Rockville Centre is a good choice. It defintiely does have lots of good bars. Nice area too.

I have reservations at the Best Western... Should we keep them or get something near Rockville Centre?

Keep em it's going to be a party. When it gets closer I will review this and other threads and start a thread so we can all get together and have one big party at the Best Western. I was there 2 years ago, the parking lot at the hotel is set up pretty cool and off the road enough where we can set up a pretty good party.

jones beach

Post by luvbuffet »

:D To everyone wondering about rooms and stuff close to Jones Beach, I believe there is a hotel in Wantagh called the Jones Beach Hotel, I dont know how good it is but whatever its good for a last resort.....I am from Seaford which is the next town over from Wantagh...Cant wait for the buffet concert, I didnt get tickets but I will be tailgating....The theatre has a totally different parking lot then the rest of the beach so its not that bad plus its huge!!! There are awsome bars in Wantagh, Mulcahys is the place to go because its definetly parrothead friendly plus there are alot of bar surrounding it....Rockville Centre is good too but it is alot of youn kids and kind of clubby......Well hope everyone has a great time at the concert

Worst case scenario my house can become a parrothead hostel for everyone. Ma_Buffett, Mike and everyone else, whatever hotel you end up at, there will be plenty of bars and plenty of parrotheads to party with. Good Times!
