I had heard a rumor late last week that Jimmy was by-passing Irvine this year and doing only one gig at the Pond. I received an update this morning and looks like it's unofficially confirmed. Jimmy will be here late this year, do only one show on Thursday evening and no mention of San Jose or San Diego. Phoenix, The Pond, The MGM, Oct. 19, 21,23rd.
Well So. Cal I guess we turn into a long weekend bash of Bubba beginning Thursday ending in Vegas Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People crying about Great Woods, and hoping that Fenway gets shot down so Jimmy will play GW instead should take note....
There are no sacred cows this year......

You are right Jen. It all started out somewhat normal then took an unusual tour turn. I have no idea what's up but I am just happy he is still performing and doing so in So. Cal. Could be worse!!!!!!
I am thinkin a new name for this License to Chill Tour 04, something like
KEEP YOU GUESSING IN 04 TOUR

There will be no debate this year over which is better, GW or Irvine....Alpine will win hands down!!!

Honestly the FIRST unusual turn was Atlanta. Look at that date! It's a Wednesday and thus far every thing else scheduled is Tues/Thurs/Sat

and Fenway is a Friday, Sunday gig?, some missing "usual" stops, bigger venues, one day instead of two at some locations. Not complaining mind you..
I JUST DON'T LIKE CHANGE
much

I'm glad he's kept Atlanta on the schedule, too. And usually I don't have much trouble handling life changes. But this one still
sucks!

I understand the Friday/Sunday at Fenway. Saturday that weekend is September 11th. The third anniversary of 9/11. Especially given that two of the planes took off from Boston, it just doesn't seem right to be partying on the 9/11 anniversary.....

I don't post much, but this subject is one that I feel strongly about. I loved seeing Jimmy at Irvine. What happened? I always thought he liked Irvine. The Pond was impossible for my friend and I. There was no parking, we didn't know where to go to meet up with anybody. We couldn't hear once we got inside. It just wasn't as much fun. Yeah, yeah I'm glad he's coming to So. Cal at all and I feel fortunate and all that stuff. But Irvine is much better.

I will be disappointed if he is only at Irvine once. Great tailgating last time I was there and I am definitely looking forward to being there and meeting up with BN phriends there. First time I ever saw some phans taking "souvinors" - a palm tree!

I totally agree...
I'll be really disappointed if he skips San Diego...just when the tailgating was getting good...
Hopefully it will only be temporarily (this year)...
...and I think he'd still prefer Irvine Meadows over The Pond, but since the dates are scheduled so late in October, I believe Irvine Meadows has shut off the superslide for the entire season....so Jimmy really doesn't have a choice....
which is probably why San Diego won't work out....and in San Diego, there is no other venue that Jimmy would care to play at....
