now the question is what will happen first... Sox pitching gives up a run or Jeter gets a hit

another Sox win, another Sox shutout!

Hey!

Chankee fans can celebrate the small wins - I mean, DJ did make it to first on a big "E" yesterday. Perhaps that will jog his memory regarding where the bases are, etc. -

I have a friend (sad to say) who has been a Yankees fan since childhood. She suggests that they put DJ's paycheck under second base and tell him he can have it upon his arrival there.
:P

Must admit I'm enjoying the AL East standings living here amongst the O's nation..... They're almost as annoying as Yankee fans.

I think Jeter got a hit, does this mean Kerry is now president and we got Bin Ladin :-?

BTW
After his hit he started anther hit-less streak now at 3 AB's and counting

After listening to the SC concert, seems there will be something more to celebrate in Fenway than the Bo Sox.

Ragtop, St. SW, B of Rum and P's-girl - (Any any other Soxers/Bostonians I missed)

This is a bit off the baseball topic but is DOES have to do with Fenway so I think it counts.

I'm going to give getting tickets to that Friday night concert a shot and then am going to tack on the Penn State at BC game on Saturday. (Don't know if any of you are College Football fans but if you visit that thread, you'll see that for me it's a sickness....)

If successful and I head north of the Mason Dixon, I will be counting on your guidance with regard to the substitute tailgate locations! (Do I need a passport, y'all?! :D )

Just bummed that I can't see Buffett AND the Sox in Fenway (See, I brought it back to beisbol!)

Don't sweat it darlin'...

Believe it or not but we actually invite our friends from the Yankee brethen to our annual Labor Day-ish... party. Oh yeah, one big happy family when it comes to JB!!! :D Not sure if that'll still hold true after the Sox win the big one though...

Also not sure where we'll all be for the pre-concert party, but rest assured we will form a plan that'll more than kick ass and you will more than be welcome to join in the festivities... :P

Before any Cubs fans have a chance to rebuttle to my last post, let it be known that I blame the rain for tonight's debacle. :x

That and future Cy Young winner, Matt Clement!

This is THE best rivalry in all of baseball. Overall, I think the Cubs have won 1098 to the Cardinal's 1048. Pretty close! :D

Two great games, regardless of the outcome.

I love this rivalry, it doesn't get ugly like some other ones (duh, guess who) but it is every bit as intense.

One of my best college buds, was a sick, twisted cardinal fan. Every year we bet $50 on the overall season series. And we always paid it off in a bar with the winner buying, so nobody ever lost. Kind of like the all time record, almost even
