How can the Yankees be the team to beat when they haven't won s*** in 3 years. The Marlins are the team to beat.

I have my Sox/NY tickets for April 16th primetime on Fox, I wonder if Tim McCarver will be wearing his Yankees jersery in the broadcast booth?

Matt you beat me to the punch I was going to set this up next week. I can't wait for the home opener a mere 20 days away. My biggest problem is that opening day at Fenway falls on Good Friday and I will not be able to enjoy my 3 sausages with peppers and onions from the Sausage King :(. Guess I'll have to make up for it on the Saturday game :D

FREAKIN" GO CUBS (Mets su*k) Not only do the above Tigers need to come out of retirement, they would need to spend considerable time in the "Wayback Machine"

I'll be right there with you. We'll have to dismantle the Cubs and Houston one game at a time. :pirate:

sorry, tickets are tougher to come by this year than any other year I can remember. I will certainly let you know if I come across anything.

do they still do day-of standing room tickets for opening day?

as of last year they did but the line starts forming about 11:30 pm the night before :( . We've lucked out a couple times by just being persistent and keep checking the box office right until gametime. They do continue to release tickets but I have a feeling this year they will be at a real premium.

I have always wondered what the big deal was about going to opening day?
