NIT

Post by MelliJellyBean »

I"m all about the NCAA Tourney, but since WVU is in the NIT I'm equally excited they we're playing tonight IN MORGANTOWN!! At least I get to go to some kind of live college game! We play Rhode Island tonight.

Anyone else's team in the NIT?

I've got both Nebraska (where I grew up) and Oklahoma (where I went to college) in.

Nebraska will always be a football school, but it was nice to the the NU basketball team finally being able to play with the big boys (beating Kansas, taking Oklahoma State to overtime in Gallagher-Iba, etc.). Coach Collier definitely has the program headed in the right direction.

well its a way to give more teams a chance to have postseason play. Cause sometimes some really good teams get left out.

Hey well WVU won tonight and is in the Sweet Sixteen of the NIT -- I'm pretty excited. Now we play Rutgers on Monday.

I think the NIT is a fun tourney too. Too bad it's the "losers bracket", but everyone deserves to play SOMETHING in March and it works out for some of the smaller schools/conferences
