In all seriousness...

In all seriousness, while I would love to see Shania and Jimmy share a stage, I just don't think it will happen.

Have you folks ever seen an interview with Shania? She really, really seems to enjoy the spotlight being on her and only her when she's "on." She's a private person off stage, but I get the feeling duets aren't in her plans.

Think about it. Most country stars - especially female artists - have had at least one duet by their fourth album. Shania did have a guest vocalist on one song, but no proper duets yet.

And by the way, who the hell is Godsmack? Am I getting that old and out of touch? Are they of that entire complaint-rock genre (Nickelback, et al)?

actually she had a duet on the second album but then once it got released to radio it was just her doing the whole song.

Tommcat327, you are right. It was she and Brian White - on her third disc "Come On Over." And then he was inexplicably sliced out of the tune for the radio release. I had forgotten that.

Sooo, maybe she'll let Jimmy on stage, give him a mic, but they won't turn it on. ;-)

As for Godsmack...didn't mean to offend. I try to stay pretty current on all genres of music, but I missed those guys somehow. And I dare say I'm not the only one who has no idea who they are or what they sing. But diversity - especially in music/art - is the spice of life.

And once again, for the record, I'll second that.

The concert DVD from the Chicago show is an amazing piece of cinematography - be it on a 12 grand plasma display or a $200 special Sanyo from Wal Mart.

Well this is one subject I never thought would be discussed around here, my two favorite acts, Jimmy and Shania. How 'bout a duet titled "Man, I Feel Like a Margarita"!! :D

Picture this if you could Shania and Heather on the same stage!!! :o

God, I hope not. That would be a sure sign of the apocalypse. Shania may be easy on the eyes but I can't stand her "music" and that's using that term very loosely.
