Never had a problem getting tickets for that show or several in Las Vegas. I guess it's my turn now to compain about TM. I'll go to the shows even without tickets--just tailgate and hope some nice PH will have extra tickets for sale.

I was second in line at a TM outlet. Got 8 Alpine lawn. Also got only 4 lawn for Sat Aug 28th Tinley/Chicago show. The Tinley show sold out 1st. People were still buy Alpine grass for 2-3 min after the Tinley show sold out. That's a first, usually Apline sell out before Tinley. I was lucky to get the 4 Tinley grass because people ahead of me (my second trip thru a very short line) were told Tinley was sold out when they tried to get 8 lawn. I asked for 4 lawn and got them. Am now trying online in hopes a few open up. Needs about 10 more for the Sat Aug 28th Tinley show if anyone has extras.

No Camden tix for me. I already have an order in with an overpriced broker. Trying to decide whether to do this or just go up and try to pick some up show day.

I got seats in the pavilion 2 together @ 11:27am EST via the CC.com/nextticketing site. Ticketmaster is not the only option, Try the venue sites some are linked to cc.com with ticketing being held back for site vistors who provide an active e-mail address and activate there accounts on line. I found being up-front helps in getting tickets, ask questions via the contact e-mail address and if you get the standard ask for another e-mail address. those folk really do help most of time,

I got 2 lawns for Indy and 2 pavillion for Chicago, but no tickets for Alpine, another "problem" with TM. SO we will go searching for tickets another way, cause we are still planning to go to Alpine in July.

My friend and I had good luck with our "catch and release" plan

We both logged on with our computers and talk to each other on our cell phones, we went right after 8 tickets each for Indy, it wouldnt let us choose Pavilion or lawn, it gave both of us pavilion so ryan dropped his and went back in for lawn, we're cheap and love the lawn atmosphere, we he got back in and got 8 lawn, I dropped my pavilion seats back to the computer and went after lawn too, I got 8 lawn seats to come up and held them till ryan completed his order to ensure we'd get tickets and then I set my tickets free, I wouldve bought them but we didnt need 16 and Im not a scalper, but the money would sure seem nice right about now!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

This is the first time we have ever gotten Buffett tickets thru ticketmaster, and weve been trying since 1998

For those of you that tried online, how many times do you keep trying after you see it's sold out before you give up? I was told 3 times this morning that Saturday Chicago was sold out and on the 4th try I got 4 lawn tickets. I would hate to know that some of you gave up and could have got tickets if you had kept trying. :-?

I know my luck must be phenomenal because this summer is my seventh year and 12th and 13th shows... and I've never got shut out of getting tickets... Guess I should be seriously knocking on wood. :D

Hehehehehe... You said "wood"!

Well, if people get tickets they can be held up for as much as 6 minutes before they submit their order, then if their credit card doesn't go through for whatever reason those tickets go back in the pool. So, in theory, even if a show sells out in 3 or 4 minutes, there's still a chance that a few could slip back into the system in the first ten minutes.. I usually continue trying for 10 minutes or so.

Okay everyone....I got my pavillion tickets so I am not worried, but missed out on a HUGE opportunity..could kick myself!!!!

So we research our place Friday night. They don't expect a crowd, say come 10 minutes early. We get there at 9:30 and two other ladies had gotten there just before us...JUST before us.... It was just the four of us. They want lawn, 8 each.....we want pavillion, but they won't trade spots with us. They get 8 pavillion and 8 lawn, we get 16 lawn. The lady said "you may have to switch tickets because yours came up pavillion" They said they had to wait and see where they were first. 3RD ROW CENTER!!!!!!! I offered to give them an additional $500.00 plus the 8 lawn tickets.....they don't know what they want to do, really want lawn, but better call their husband's...one said, no keep the lawn, the other said, take the pavillion....they take forever to decide... Meanwhile, we ask the lady if she will let us get more tickets since nobody else is there, she says NO! ONLY 8 PER PERSON.... SUCKS!!! Anyway, the two ladies walk outside and never come back...they could have at least said something to us, like sorry, we decided to keep them...something! ANYTHING! They are probably going to go sell them on e-bay and get 8 extra lawn tickets.... And they were only there 1 minute before we were!!!

I am not going to be able to sleep tonight!!!

And, not to mention, we were both still very drunk at this point this morning....drinking Corona, Swamp Waters (lime vodka, southern comfort, and OJ), "double Jager on the rocks....(that's right DAVE! Did twp doubles just in your honor, then shot gunning a few beers.... WOW!! that kicked my a$$~~~~!!!!!!!!!

It was a fun weekend, but the 3rd row center thing is NEVER going to stop haunting me!!! Next year we BETTER have that chance again and actually get that!!!!!

sigh.......

Sorry this was so long.....I think I might STILL be drunk!

Woo Hoo! 16 lawn for Alpine! We stopped trying for pavilion years ago and now we actually WANT lawn.

Last year: 8 tix
Two years ago: 6 tix

Got shut out standing in line, got all 16 online, even with dial-up...
Go figure!
Tell me where do we go from here?
Think I'll ride into Leadville and have a few beers.
