There was a Buffet night in Binghamton for the B Mets (double A affiliate of the NY mets) My father in law who is a huge JB fan bought one of the jerseys at the auction after the game. They werent like that one but they had palm trees and parrots and stuff on them. It was really cool.

Hey Wig7, the Landlocked Landsharks PHC from the Scranton, PA area is working with the B Mets on a Parrothead night this year. The date is scheduled for Saturday August 7.

The PHC is also planning on selling the same unifrom tops (new of course) in the months leading up to the game. More info will be forthcoming.

As long as the subject is Buffett nights........

BUFFETT DAY AT THE TRENTON THUNDER!!

Coastal Jersey Parrot Head Club and the Philly Parrotheads present Jimmy Buffett Day at Trenton Thunder 5/16/04 at 1:30 PM. Tickets are $7.50 for keets, $9 for adults, adults can purchase a combo ticket and event tee for $15. There will be tropical music, games, raffles, give-aways and lots more.

All funds raised will be divided between Reading is Fundamental in our club's name and a charity to be named by the Philly Parrot Heads.

Immediately following the game, there will be a post-game Parrot Head Party with Jimmy and the Parrots at Katmandu (1 block from the stadium). There will be a $5 cover charge for adults. Food and drink specials will be available to PH's with a game ticket stub.

I am so excited about this event. Picture the stadium filled with Parrot Heads and Buffett music blaring out of those huge speakers. I understand the grounds crew wears grass skirts and tropical shirts and does FINS while grooming the field during the sevent inning stretch.

You can pre-order tickets beginning immediately. You can send you request and your check to me at CJPHC, PO Box 568, Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08734 or you can sign up and pay at any club event between now and then. Bring your kids, bring your in-laws, bring your neighbors, bring everyone and lets show those Philly PH's how the Coasties do it!!!! Spread the word however you can.

Just doin my part to spread the word! :P

When i lived In Jax Beach, Fl, the Jacksonville Suns, minor league baseball team had Buffett night. The team wore jerseys like that and the cover band that played afterwards wore them too. They also had the cheeseburger deals. It was fun and a great gimick for phans.

I live in Jax too, they have that promotion every year and auction the jerseys off after the game, they get $400-$500 for them. So that E-bay deal is a bargain!

They auctioned off the shirts the players wore... AFTER the game.
A lot of $$$ for sweaty shirts!
