I was curious to know if anyone ever got into the front center section at Alpine through Ticketmaster? Sub-question: What's the closest you got up front at Alpine through Ticketmaster and how? (phone, internet, TM location...)

I ask only because it seems impossible to get good seats there through Ticketmaster. I'm just wondering if they have a presale...or give them away to season tix holders...or what's the deal?

My very first Buffett concert, in the mid-90s. We bought five tickets and they were in the second row in the section to the right of center-we were there early enough that when Jimmy was out on stage for a final sound check he said hello!

I got them at my local ticketmaster and at that time they had somebody who was extremely fast at getting through on their computers.

Nothing anywhere near that close since!

Got them on Saturday.....8th row, Section 101. While I have a confirm number I still think Ticketbastard is going to screw the order up on my....I've never been this lucky

It happens! Someone on here got 1st row dead center..


I was 1 minute late from getting in line before the first person who got 8 tix in the second row, center.....(and she wanted lawn ) but wouldn't trade once she saw what they were...... yes, the wound is still very fresh...

It does happen though! I was hoping that it really was just that easy, but seeing that it isn't, now I really am kicking myself!!! We will be going back to the same outlet though next year! With a chair and blanket to wait...there was nobody there. only the two ladies in front of us and us...we showed up at 9:30, they were there at 9:27 or something like that...sigh.....so close!!!!!

Question...especially for Joe Merchant...
How did you guys get them...online...waiting in line...or phone?

Last year I got 12th row section 101 via Dsl on Ticketmaster.com.
I wanted 2 tickets so that is probably why I got them.
