It seems to Me that alot of phans got the short end of the stick this weekend. If you are like me, ( I got nothing) Would You boycott Jimmy this year? or would You still give him your hard earned money? If You go on any ticket scalper website. There are thousands of tickets to be had for the right price. Since I need both of my kidneys I will not buy anything Buffett this year. Something has to be done, so the phans not scalpers can get tickets. So, My question is this If you got shutout would you still buy Buffett stuff?

Heck yeah I would still buy Buffett stuff. Many of these shows are not for a few months. You can find reasonably priced tickets in that amount of time. Many people who have tix end up having extras cause people's plans change. Plus the TM releases a bunch of tix before each show as well.

NOPE! I would just look to a different venue! ...I live in Maryland and my wife and I are traveling to Charlotte, NC. and Camden NJ!
Try try try again!

Absolutely. Just listening to Jimmy on the cd player sometimes is all I need to transport me to M'ville. I don't have to go see him. I was a parrothead 6 or so years before I even went to my first concert.

I don't think many pholks are going to boycott Buffett stuff because they didn't get tix......that's ridiculous. Quit crying and put your efforts into finding a good (decent) deal on eBay or elsewhere. If you're really serious about boycotting Buffett stuff, maybe you should start by trashing all the Buffett stuff you already have.

I'm gonna take a guess that a Buffett fan group is probably not the best place to attempt a boycott of Buffett.
Perhaps you can get the RNC to endorse Hilary while you're at it.
At the risk of repeating myself... 30,000 tickets. 100,000 fans. People are going to have to learn to deal with disappointment or, better yet, use their time more constructively and figure out ways to go anway.

I was a fan for 2 1/2 yrs, befor my first concert in 2003. So I am a late bloomer. And I have seen that the most fun is the pre-show tailgate parties. The concert is just the icing on the cake. On thing everyone needs to keep in mind is, Jimmy
*IS* getting older. And the Parrothead concert time with Jimmy Buffett will be and is growing shorter,

. So the shorter concert season
could get shorter as the years pass. I am in no way saying Jimmy is or should retire soon, but be prepaired

Why would you want to boycott Jimmy? He does not have absolute power over who buys tickets. There is not a warning on tickets that say - "If you are a scalper, please do not buy this ticket" IT IS NOT JIMMY'S FAULT! No one is to be blamed (except the scalpers themselves). It is not ticketmasters fault if they are sold out. Although they could get a better system. If you wish to boycott Jimmy this year. fine by me, more room for me to stretch out in the lawn section this year.

My response to this has always been quit complaining becuase there is always a way to get tickets.
You got shutout but I went to San Jose this year and I am going to Charlotte, Camden and Nissan. Pittsburgh is also in the plans.
Every show I have been to I really wanted to go and I have somehow always ended up with tickets either before the show or the day of. If yuo really wnat to go you'll find a way and you don't have to pay through the nose.

Jimmy does not HAVE to play anywhere at all.
There will never be a system that is perfect for everyone. Ticketmaster is flawed and we none of us are thrilled with it. Do you have a better soloution?????.........
I got shut out on Saturday too. I was also shut out last Saturday for Cincy. But I got on the computer and I found tickets (at face value) for all of the concerts I had planned to see. It takes a lot more effort and ingenuity. But it can be done...
I honestly believe that the more I have learned about the Man who is Jimmy Buffett. The more I see a man who tries to repay us for the loyalty we have shown to him.
I see many examples of it. talk to any of the Margaritaville employees. about the man their boss is, ( I have) or talk to any of the fans who have really had a contact with him.
Would anyone have believed that for an event as popular and hard to get tickets to as the Las Vegas Margaritaville opening that they would make the deal available for the fans that we got. ........... That opening was a gift for, and to, us his fans.
You will not convince me or anyone else on here that we should Boycott Jimmy .................. Just start looking and If you really want tickets. You will find them

I have no intention of boycotting all things Buffett.

Why would I boycott any merchandise. Jimmy is not the one at fault. He is just offering a product and the distributor of that product is broken(ticketmaster). Is not Jimmy's fault. If I don't get Jimmy tickets at regular price that I don't go. Does Jimmy care if I don't go? Probably not. I can't hold Jimmy for a broken system.
