I guess I stopped paying attention after about 12:00.apla51 wrote:I really like the back lot, but in 99' we went at 3:00 and after a long wait got into the furtherest reaches of the back lot, in '00' we went at 2:00 and were shut out of both lots and had to pay to park across from the paved, wasn't bad once it filled up with parrotheads who were surprized as us about being shutout of the free lots, but was hot as "$%7#". What does anyone suggest is an appropriate time to insure a place in the dirt lot?

I'm maxing out all my vacation days for the two shows right before I head down under. However, I may get deathy ill and unable to work the second half of the day. I'm aiming for noon, but by the time I get everyone together it probably will be more around 2.HsvParrothead wrote:When are most of you "regular" Atlanta attendees arriving??

When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

I will probably get there early to save a spot. Don't care if I'm sitting there with my tent and beer for a couple of hours. I'll just know the neighbors better by the time you guys get there.12vmanRick wrote:Trust me be skeered!!!! be VERY skeered! Small problem just came up; no more driver for the evning and the people I'm going with don't want to shell out $100-200 a piece for a limo.
I KNOW that I will not be in any condition to drive that night and my friends don't seem to understand how far it is from HiFi to Duluth. Any tour/shuttle buses of PHs heading down 85 with room for 4?

The Spondivit's in Cumming typically does a "party bus" for the JB shows. Still a little bit out of the way from Duluth but something you might want to look into. There might be other restautants/bars closer to Duluth doing the same thing, too.land_shark3 wrote:Small problem just came up; no more driver for the evning and the people I'm going with don't want to shell out $100-200 a piece for a limo.

Here's something to do before the show: Hooter's at Cumberland is throwing a pre-concert party (courtesy of Z93), with the Atlanta Parrot Head Club. Not sure exactly what a parrot head party at Hooter's will be like, but it can't be bad.
I, and most of the rest of the APHC will be at Lakewood around 9am, assuming the gates are open. Since it's a weekday show, they may not open the gates as early as in previous years.

My experience has been that no matter what time they announce the gates will open, a nice long line of parrotheads forms on the road and eventually causes traffic problems. Next thing you know, the gates open earlier than planned. So forget about public transport and carpooling for one day and help build the line.cayman2 wrote:I, and most of the rest of the APHC will be at Lakewood around 9am, assuming the gates are open.
