Ever hear the comedian who said "foliage is God's gift to New England to make up for baseball"? (or somethin' like that)

I think I'm out of this one. But it's still a ways off so you never know. At least I know the Mrs is willing to go. :D

Anyhow, I've still got a king suite booked at the Buckminster Hotel. I'll keep the reservation, just in case any of you need it closer to the concert date. The rate was $169 per night and I booked Sat and Sun nights. PM me if you're interested in picking it up...

We were looking into the Buckminster as well, does anyone know if there is a parking lot... I didn't see anything on the website about it. Lot, valet, or is it typical kenmore square 'side of the road where you can find it' parking.

Hey all!!!

Well I finally got my tix today. Season Tix holder. Thanks for the heads up on Hotel Buckmeister. I got the econo-room!! I could care less if it was a closet.

I do not believe the buckminster has a parking lot unto itself... it may have a deal with a lot somewhere, but don't know if that will change due to the concert (if they DO have a deal, that is). I'm booked at HoJos in kenmore square Sat & Sun night... they charge $10/day for parking for guests.

Hey, here is a crazy idea for people south of Boston. Convince Bob Kraft and Patriots to open there parking lot at Gillette Stadium (maybe tied in to charitable event) let us all park and taligate there and then have the MBTA take us into Boston via train. WOuld this appeal to anyone?

You can't have a can or bottle but if you're creative you can.. God knows I've done my fair share of drinking on the T.

I made a joke about that on another thread when Fenway was first rumored. Tailgate at G.W and takt the T. That would be a great idea 30,000 parrotheads on the commuter rail. Only problem it would take about an hour to get to Fenway by the T from Foxborough.

Even if you did it and rented an RV or a bus the ride from Foxborough would svck.

Although I'm not knocking your idea, I won't be there... Foxboro is WAY to FAR away from Fenway... I'd rather just s*** it up this year and go to the bars and party...

The bar thing might have to do this year. I might be going to the Sox game Memorial Day Monday at 1:00, and I am going for sure on Thursday June 24 (Minnesota Twins) another 1:00 day time start. I'm going to check the area bars and see what things are like early afternoon. I hear there is a bar in there called Tiki or the Tiki Bar, that place will probably be packed by 11:00 AM. I will let everybody know how things look as it gets closer to the shows.

I go to games all the time... I've never been to the Tiki Bar so I can't say one way or another on how it will be... I can tell you that regardless of the time or place the bars will be packed within an hour of opening... The bars we usually hit are... The Baseball Tavern (personally my favorite, Sox players are known to stop here after games..),Cask, Boston Beer Works (great watermellon ale come summer!) and Copperfields.. Personally I'd choose one of these bars b/c they're only a hop, skip and a jump away from the park.. As far as any other bar in the area I'm not to familiar with them... I can almost guarentee you'll find me at The Baseball Tavern outside on the patio.. See y'all then!

I was at the Cask a couple of weeks ago when they played Cleveland, that's usually where I go. I don't think I've been to the Baseball Tavern I'll check it out Monday.
