Very cool! Would you be interested in joining in our bus?! It's a school bus that will drop us off at Fenway... we're talking now about hitting the PHCOEM / WAAF pre-party across the street then to the show, then back to central MA. I've got quite a bit of space and we can all hang out while we wait for the bus ... I think we can fit around 40 people?! <mike, you around.. help me out with the #'s!> maybe more and have about a dozen or so at the moment...
Cost - $20 for the pick up / drop off, and like I said, you can leave your car safely at my house... we're making up Tonga Juice for the ride! mmmmmmm...
This would be a great way not to worry about parking in Boston and dealing with havign a few too many!
Let me know!

Thanks for the offer Tonga But I'm actually picking a friend and his crew up at the airport that morning and we're heading directly to their hotel and out to the bars. If I didn't already have plans I'd say sign me up… Very smart idea as parking is going to be a nightmare and people won't have to worry abot driving… What's this Tonga juice??

Well the pre-party looks like it might be the best bet for most, as it's right next to Fenway. There are parties before both shows, no matter which day you're going you can join in. I just bought 8 tickets for our group (West of West chapter members of PHCOEM).
Tickets are $23.10 each for the pre-party, plus a $16.95 flat shipping charge. You can order up to 10 at a time so it makes sense to buy as many as you can in one shot. It starts at 4pm and lasts most of the night so you can stay there if you don't have tickets to Fenway. Food is included, and The Jon Frattisio band is playing (rumor has it that Peter Mayer may be showing up too!)

Ah! The Tonga Juice!!! mmmm.... well, its a concoction of several types of rum (capt', admiral (coconut), parrotbay pineapple...), some juices and topped with a bit of gingerale to give it a 'fizz'... mmmm! You can drink this bad boy all day, have a great 'buzz' and not a bad hangover! got to love it!!!
As for the central MA gathering... its for the Friday show only. Please email me if you have questions or need directions -

i just ran into a corona distributor up in seabrook. i asked him if he knew of anything about the big pre-party event corona is co-sponsoring before the shows. he said no but he had heard yesterday that the parking lot at gillette may host tailgating then buses would take people up to boston.
has anyone heard any definites on this? i do recall a previous thread on this topic. someone had just thrown this suggestion out there.

If anyone wants to join the Central MA school bus ride into Boston, we're meeting in Worcester. Price is $20 per person (or less if we get lots of people going!) Bring your beverages and parrotphernalia! Our bus leaves Worcester at 2 - 2:30pm to get to the tailgate party at Axis for 4pm. Bus departs after the show. There's plenty of room!
We need more fruitcakes on this bus!!!

Just spoke with the event coordinator at Boston Billiards Club at 128 Brookline Ave. (steps from Fenway) They’re promoting a Buffet pre- party and actually changed the name of the club for the two days. Calling it Boston Buffett Club. Should be a great party. They’ve got a band for both days and it’s an absolutely beautiful club. We are planing a 40th birthday party for my wife along with the concert. Looks like we will be holding it here on Sunday. Stop by if you’d like.

They are starting to realize how big this is going to be and are going to take advantage of a good thing. This is like a gift to them, think about it the bar owners are going to have a full house for well over 12 hours without having to do one bit of promoting or advertising.$$$$$$$$$$
For them its like free money and Christmas in September.

Where is the Avalon & Axis at? I'm thinking of getting tickets for the show but I don't know where it is in Boston. I'm staying at the Buckminster Hotel across from Fenway. Can anyone help?

It is right across the street from fenway (right behind the green monster)
Bufffettnews will be setting up shop at the Tiki Room (I think) which is also in that location.

Bixx from what I understand the section under the bleachers wil be closed for both Buffett shows as that will serve as "backstage".

Add 6 more to the Avalon/Axis pre-party.
So ya'll dressing up Buffett style, right?
Don't let the posting count fool you. I decided to move from a generic screen name to a more Buffett-centric one after hearing SOASOAS the other day. Just loved the image of the Mango Man greeting folks and how that fits in with the whole Buffett-tude.
