Caribbean Country Songs

With the popularity of the "Caribbean feel" in Country music the last couple of years, I'm thinking about putting together a CD with these songs on it to listen when I'm not chilling with Jimmy. Here are a few I can think of off the top of my head.......

How'd I Wind Up In Jamaica - Tracy Byrd
Loco - David Lee Murphy
It's Five O'Clock Somewhere - Alan Jackson and Jimmy
Two Pina Coladas - Garth Brooks
When The Sun Goes Down - Kenny Chesney and Uncle Kracker
No Shoes, No Shirt (No Problems) - Kenny Chesney

I'm hoping to add many more. Can anybody think of others?

Clay Walker - Then What
Darryl Worley - I Need a Breather
Kenny Chesney - Outta Here

You may want to give a listen to a C.D. by the Bellamy Brothers called "Reggae Cowboys."
Especially the opening song on that disc-"Almost Jamaica."

Mike...I think this is the song you are referring to...
It's called "How Forever Feels"

Big orange ball, sinkin' in the water.
Toes in the sand, couldn't get much hotter.
Little umbrella shaped margaritas
Coconut oil, tan senioritas
Oh, now I know how Jimmy Buffet feels

Yeah, like PG said, it's called How Forever Feels. No Shoes... is a different song with a VERY tropical feel to it. Great song!

I recently made a similar cd I call "Attack of the Buffett Clones"
The following songs all have a mexican/caribbean flavor to them:

"Divers do it deeper" and "Juanita" by David Allan Coe and both have a hint of the Changes In Lattitudes melody in them

"He drinks tequila, she talks dirty in spanish" by Delbert McClinton and Laurie Morgan

"If I can find a clean shirt" by Willie Nelson/Waylon Jennings
"They all went to Mexico" by Willie Nelson/Carlos Santana

"Joe knows how to live"
"I got Mexico"
"Bermuda Triangle"(also sounds similar to Changes in Lattitudes)
all by Eddy Raven

"So bad last night"
"Sangria Wine"
"Come away to Belize" all by Jerry Jeff Walker

"Caribbean" by Hank Snow is an oldie but goodie

As stated above, ya gotta have some Bellamy Brothers

This is actually Sammy Kershaw and Lorrie Morgan. They were married for a little bit and tried to revive their careers with this song.

I remember a song several years ago that I don't ever remember hearing on the radio but I kept seeing the video on CMT alnost every morning. I don't remember the name or the artist. The only thing I remember was that the video was on a beach with a bar and some old beat up boats and a lead singer and a band. There were pictures of Jimmy behind the bar and the only line of the song I can recall was "bartender play me some Buffett". Wish I could remember who it was or the title but maybe some bodyelse on here will no the song I am talking about.

Aren't they still married? They were on CMT Top Twenty Countdown in the Rockies together a couple months ago

I could have sworn that I heard that they were done. Who knows. It's hard to keep up with all of Lorrie Morgan's husbands.

I second that commotion especially since most of the artists being named are wannabe hat acts that wouldn't know what real country music was if it jumped up and bite 'em on the ass. :D
