I had the good fortune (or misfortune) to hear both Math Suks and Hokey Pokey in concert before they were released. Didn't like them then...still don't like them now!

I love USS Zydecoldsmobile - great Sonny Landreth song.

And I'll give Jimmy a pass on Elvis Imitators. He recorded it and never put it on an individual album. He added it as a bonus track on the box set. That's what those bonus tracks should be IMHO, something fun and different.

That's my pick alright...I caught it in direct flight from JB at the outdoor Vegas show at the Flamingo in January. He played "Come Monday" with it, then did the intro to "Fins" and put the pick on top of his bald head and used it like a little fin, then tossed it to me! :D

I'm still surprised to this day that I actually caught it.

"Creola" - a tasty hot breakfast cereal you'll be proud to serve your family!

I also don't care for Zydecomobile.

Elvis Imitators isn't my favorite, but it is amusing, and I too refer you to Steve Goodman's comments about it. And Slow Boat to China is an old classic song my mother introduced me to long before Buffett was ever performing it.

I've never made it through the whole song - but Elvis Imitators is the absolute worse for me. I have to give some love to Math Suks. I hate math and when I heard it live in '99 I could have sworn the song was dedicated to me - I laughed so hard. A few have mentioned it has a novelty song and I tend to agree. The few times I listen to it I get a good kick out of it. Mademoiselle is one of my favorites. Just has a nice soothing flow to it.
I don't have any new ones to add, the set list from hell (although I like a few of those songs) covers the one's I don't like.

And I agree with Kurt's setlist... although I can stand a few of them... overall I think it's a good list of inferior songs.

I also like Mademoiselle. However, I have to agree with most of the songs that people are listing from Beach House on the Moon. I NEVER listen to that CD. FSOTW is not that bad in my opinion, not the best, but not the worst. That said, I really don't like the Autour du Rocher.

Hokey Pokey and Autour du Rocher are definitely the stinkers on Far Side. I also don't care for many of the songs off Beach House on the Moon and Off To See The Lizard. Elvis Imitators is by far the worst overall followed closely by Math Suks. I Wish Lunch Could Last Forever is awful. Not a big fan of Cheeseburger In Paradise either.

And the video to that song is the absolute worst....when he's throwing different stuff in to the big steaming pot of something. What were they thinking?

love Mademoiselle! great song. This may get me shot, particularly on this website, but I have never been a fan of Grapefruit Juicyfruit...just don't like it! Don't get me wrong I sing every word when he plays it live but its just not my favorite.

I've got to stick up for "Creola". I LOVE Floridays. It is in my top five for Buffett albums. Any song on this album is good, again, in my opinion.

For the ones out there that do not like Creola, try this....

On a HOT...and I do mean HOT Summers day this year, take an afternoon off from work, fix yourself your favorite libation, throw on your swimsuit, put your folding chair (with beach towel) out in the sun and start soaking up rays.

After an hour or so, put on "Creola". It's the story of Jimmy's young lifestyle and you will get a fever for the "HOT" food and "HOT" lifestyle on the bayous of America. It's just a really sensitive, passionate song about the Cajun lifestyle. Just try it.
"Salt air it ain't thin, it can stick right to your skin and make you feel fine."
