Jackson, Strait then Buffett

Post by A1Jay »

Yep that is the order.

I was wondering how they would be billed and Jackson is opening then Strait then the Main Course; JB.

Probably nothing new to everyone here BUT I thought it to be something , considering it is in Texas.

ALSO, I'm not sure I'd want my buzz killed by the opening acts. I like them, I like them alot , BUT........there's just something about the tailgaiting marching right into the show!

Still waiting on some parrothead to come up with the presale password. Also, when oh when will ticketmaster.com show the concert again? It has been inexplainably deleted from the website. Bastards. I fart in their general direction.

In that case, you'd miss the show. Parking at Texas Stadium is consistently atrocious. Odds are, you won't be parked anywhere close to the Stadium. Thus, you'd have to begin walking to the Stadium about 2 hours before Buffett even takes the stage. This, in all likelihood, will help sober you up for the show. What a drag.

At least one local radio station is billing it as George Strait with special guests Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett. I'm telling everyone that George Strait is opening for Jimmy Buffett. At least one good friend has stopped talking to me for that. I didn't know this before, but they call him "King George" around here!

Does anyone know how parking works for special events at Texas Stadium? Do you just show up early or do you buy tickets in advance for premier parking? I'm hoping to find a really good spot for the boat.

Yes, the pre-sale is tomorrow.

Some say the Password (Alan Jackson's Platinum fanclub) is JOBDESCRIPTION. I've heard this is a hoax, and that the password is something else but Alan Jackson fans want phony passwords in the mix because it'll delay the distribution of tickets.

This is from George Strait's website
  • With more than 120+ million records sold, over 80 Number One singles and countless awards under their hats (or Hawaiian shirt), the superstars will share equal billing to showcase some of their biggest hits and fan favorites – alone and together. This historical concert extravaganza starts kicks off with Jackson, followed by Strait, Buffett and close with an extraordinary finale of all three. Tickets start at $39.50 to $125 and go on sale to the general public Saturday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets by calling 214-373-8000 or 977-647-5700 and online at www.ticketmaster.com.

“The three of us have talked about doing this for some time,” admits Strait. “We’ve had the pleasure of working with each other before and not only do we enjoy each other’s music but we have a lot in common. Sharing the same stage will be a great time for us as well as the fans. The only draw back will be choosing which songs to do and which ones we have to leave off.”
