Four Play,
Dont mean to but into your party, but if you still need ice I would be happy to bring some for you.
We will have 2 trucks coming and would be happy to help.

Picked up 250lbs of sand, food, margarita mix and it is finally sinking in that next week is the party.

Okay, I got a question . . . what are the chances that the party will reconvene after the concert?

My daughter's dance school has thrown a BIG wrench into our Memorial Day weekend with a recital and dress rehearsal. I was assured that they would work to put my daughters routines during the first half of the show on Saturday, but alas they have scheduled both of her numbers for the second half of the show. So, that means we will be doing good to make it to the stadium before the concert starts. :(

Add to that the dress rehearsal that has been scheduled for Friday evening, and that bumps us out of the party at Dick's as well.

We were really looking forward to meeting you guys, you can't believe how disappointed I am with the dance school! But the kids have to come first, so we're left with little choice.

Still excited about the show!! 8) Just wish we could help warm up the parking lot with you all. :wench:

Don't worry! My mom's a dance teacher. Her show isn't until the following weekend, or I would not be making it either, since I'm a free helper backstage!!!!!
We usually hang around afterwards.......a couple of years ago, A girl showed up at our RV door, around midnight, with a platter of chocolate covered strawberries, asking for a bathroom break. Needless to say, that by that hour, the strawberries were consumed before she even got out of the bathoom. :o
All that aside, we'll see you after the concert!!!! :D

Are there any other Parrotheads going to the Dallas show from Lubbock?
I'll be travelling to Dallas on Friday. My partner cancelled, so looking for friends to party with. I have one spare ticket that I don't want to see wasted. I'd love to hear from others that are getting together. I'll try Dick's on Friday night. My reservations are at the Holiday Inn Express.

We are certainly looking forward to a gathering after the show. My friend who will be joining me does not want to do any heavy drinking until after the show; for memory reasons.

RV Parking

Ooooh, do we really want to walk across Loop 12 after beverages?

Has Jerry Jones gone south of the border on us? Are they making us park there, or are they suggesting we park there?

Typically after Buffett shows, I'm not that concerned about where I walk. That may be a good thing or a bad thing due to the stadium's location.

Just an aside...if you like Texas musicians...Robert Earl Keen's Texas Uprising is in Fort Worth on Sunday. I certainly wouldn't miss that. We will continue the Buffett party weekend through Sunday at least at Sundance Square.

You can buy beer and wine in most grocery stores and convenience stores here. I know you can in Southlake and Grapevine and probably Los Colinas too :-? Help me out a little FP!

Man this thread exploded today! Hope I'm not missing anyone in these replies…

CA girl – Don’t worry about butting into our party – the more the merrier and besides you're bringing sand. I'm sure we’ll need lots of ice so bring whatever you can.

LadyGraffix – sorry you’ll miss the pre-parties but come by after the concert if you can. We’re sleeping on the boat Saturday night so we’ll be there.

JohnMc – Come on Down! The RV Lot is the place to be if you want a good tailgate party.

Dallas – they’re not making us park there, but it’s where the serious tailgaters will be. There’s a bridge across Loop 12 that will be closed to vehicles. I don’t think we’ll be dodging any traffic.

IALeftPHin – you can buy beer in gas stations. You have to go to a liquor store for the hard stuff.

My wife had a GREAT idea - a lowcountry boil! I have to buy a turkey fryer but they're not that expensive.

From what I can tell there are about 50 people in our group. To feed that many I think we'll need the following;

15 pounds of kielbasa or smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
40 ears of shucked corn, cut in half
1/2 bushel of crab legs
20 pounds of large shrimp, heads off
3 small packets of Old Bay seasoning

Who's in and what can you bring?
