Please Help bring justice to dog tortured to death with bow & arrow in Pierce Co., WA

To: All animal rescuers and lovers

Justice needs to be served on 2 men in Pierce County, WA, who admitted to the killing of a dog, a Siberian Husky, by shooting it numerous times using a bow and the same arrow, which was removed each time the dog was shot until it collapsed from profuse blood lost, shock and pain! This poor animal endure such torture! If these 2 young men do not get the maximum sentence, then they can possible go to more animals and then humans next. Please help put a stop to this insane and inhumane behavior before it escalates! Thanks.

Young men charged in bow and arrow killing of dog

ROB TUCKER; The News Tribune

Pierce County prosecutors charged two men with first-degree animal cruelty Friday, alleging they killed a dog with a bow and arrow after tying it to a tree.

Prosecutors charged Steven L. Paulson and Troy L. Loney with one count each of the felony crime. Authorities said on March 8 they roped the dog, probably a Siberian husky, to a tree near Wilkeson Elementary School around 5 p.m. and shot it "numerous times" using a bow and one arrow.

The two men allegedly would remove the arrow from the dog's body and reuse it to shoot the dog again.

A witness said the men took turns and shot the dog at least 10 times, deputy prosecutor Dennis Ashman said in charging documents filed in Pierce County Superior Court.

After the dog died, the men threw its body into Wilkeson Creek, he said.

Police decided not to arrest the pair, said Jim Osborn, a Buckley police detective and Wilkeson town marshal. Both men told authorities they had used a bow and arrow to kill the dog, Ashman said.

Both will be summoned when a court date is set. They must appear or face arrest, he said.

If convicted, Paulson, 20, and Loney, 18, could face maximum prison sentences of five years each and fines of $10,000 each. But sentencing guidelines for a first offense call for less jail time - up to a year, Ashman said.

Neither man could be reached for comment.

Paulson is the son of Wilkeson Mayor Doug Paulson, according to police.

HOW SICK CAN ANY HUMAN BE?
These bastards should have the same thing done to them as what they did to that poor defenseless dog.
If these a-holes felt like this was a SPORT, perhaps they should have gone to the shipyards and tried the same thing with a dock worker.
How I wish these c.s.ers would have their a$$es FRIED, and may they forever rot in hell.

I agree with you on that.

First question that comes to mind is why would someone be a witness to this, wouldn't most people do something if they saw this happening?

Perhaps out of fear of "catching" an arrow themselves. Any person(s) sick enough to repeatedly do this act might just be sick enough to shoot people.

Yes!

One would hope that at least the witness was the person that called the police who "decided not to arrest the pair" :o :o :o

After the trial the judge during sentencing blew the people in the court room away by informing them that one of the defendance was a conviced child molester. This whole thing has caused quite an uproar up here.

Hell yes!! and let me be one with a bow. I guaranteed I can make it hurt without killing them for a LONG time!

Also, how and why could someone do this to an innocent animal. Obviously, the dog was a gentle creature to allow them to do this multiple times without ripping their throats out. Which I wish he would have done!!!

Oh and let me add, if it was my animal.....  :pirate:

The dog didn't have the chance to defend itself or rip their throats out--the story said they tied it to a tree. Somehow that makes it even worse in my mind. This kind of thing makes me want to vomit.

My signature's on there, FWIW.

It was reportrd that one of them was the son of the Mayor, I'm sure he was neglected; he was probably given everything he ever wanted and when he got into trouble daddy probably made it go away thats why he progressed on to bigger and more sicker things, next he will be a serial killer.

I say put them both in general population in prison especially if one of them was a convicted child molester. These two will feel more pain at the hands of the other inmates. One thing the inmates don't tolerate is sickos like this that hurt kids or animals. I hope they enjoy being someones girlfriend in prison. Remember don't drop the soap.
