Let an over 50 vitim of fate chime in......this discussion started off positive drifted negative and back to posiitive. Phriends y'all need to understand that things in life aren't always fair. That's where JB comes in. He make's it 5 o'clock somewhere, take you to that one particular harbor, helps you search for your lost shaker of salt, and even takes you to the Tiki Bar. With all of these options I enjoy life. Things don't always go the way I've hoped but JB sets all things straight. My biggest fear in life is that the proposed dates for JB to play LV in OCT are untrue. Someone asked me once "Where's Margaritaville?" and I was trying to come up with a very witty reply they said"Anywhere there's a blender". That seems to be my answer now!! LOL
Indecision may or may not be my problem

Re: The Weather is Here...
well, i don't know where you live but..............today was the first day in a week that the sun came out and what a beautiful day it was!JTrevisol wrote:I got up this morning and had to come in to work. A little guilty pleasure, but I always check the discussion board here at BN first. Has anyone else noticed the high level of negativity going on? “Worst song ever”, “Why not my town”, “Ticketmaster (nuf sed)”, “Why country”, “Willis or Willie” (I even joined that one), and the rant of the 16 year old (wait until that’s his boss and co-worker he’s talking about).
On the way in to work I was listening to A-1-A and nearly lost my voice. It is 50 degrees, the sun is out and it promises to be one of those Chamber of Commerce days.
So I am here to tell you I am thankful.
I am thankful for such a beautiful day, even if it means I have to look out the window to experience it. If we were under 2 feet of snow, I would be thankful that I am not too old to sled (42 and counting). If it were raining, I would be thankful that I don’t have to use the sprinklers and my lawn would still be green. I am thankful for this forum that allows us to tell people how we feel.
But, I am most thankful that Jimmy has not retired. We might not like every song, but when he stops playing them, well, I don’t even want to think about that!
So, I hope you all have a great day and enjoyed my positive post.
....i just wanna live happily ever after
every now and then.
every now and then.

Great posts, everyone should stop and count their blessings,
and give thanks for what they have, instead of what they don't have
or what might be.
I come here to escape the negativity of the world.
Lately thats been hard to do. Jtrev is abolutely right
there has been a lot of negativity here lately. Makes
me reconsider what I'm doing here at times!

I too have been troubled by the negative thoughts and appreciate the change to the positive. When my not Parrothead part of life sucks , I need to remember the wise words of Bubba
"Take it all in it's as big as it seems
Count all your blessings
Remember your dreams"
And for me, the best blessing is that it is 18 days till Charlotte.

Hey, we have that saying in Northeast Florida also. Yesterday it was near 80. Today's high was 68. It will be 80 on Wednesday.JTrevisol wrote:The temps will be in the 70's by the end of this week. There's a saying in the Carolinas: If you don't like the weather, just wait until tomorrow. About 2 weeks ago we a high of 78 degrees and 2 days later the high was 46.
Hey looking forward to nice weather in Sunrise, Florida on May 1st. 25 days to JB Sunrise.

Just got back from S Carolina last month and am headed to Charlotte this month. For some reason, we keep leaving Ohio. The stupid thing is we keep coming back. Damn, the Reds lost, but the sun was shining.fin5 up wrote:I'd love to live in the Carolina's. For some reason I'm stuck in Ohio with no chance of escape. I don't know why we keep coming back. Ohio is a great state to live in. As long as it's late May, June, July or August. Jimmy loves Ohio. He's just smart enough to visit when it's warm. May 22nd, July 1st, August 31st. I've got tickets to 2 of the 3.

Did you two ever notice that displayed prominently on the back of your commemorative quarter are John Glenn and one of the Wright brothers. Both of whom went to extremes to leave the ground of Ohio.big hat carmen wrote:Just got back from S Carolina last month and am headed to Charlotte this month. For some reason, we keep leaving Ohio.
