for anyone planning on heading toward the game I'd suggest taking the train into the city...2 years ago it took over 2 hours to get back to tinley park hotels from downtown...last year we took the metra which is about 45 minutes, but its stress free...there are two metra stops in Tinley...its a quick hop on the redline to wrigleyville from there...

I'll be inside the park at the game...got tickets back in March when they went onsale...there will be 8 of us in the bleachers, if there are any others that are going to be bleacher bums that day, we could all try to sit close together and get ourselves on TV...

...party on around wrigley after the game then train it back to the hotels for a stint at the HI gig...

Not likely to be at the game, since it's long since sold out. But there will be much to do in Wrigleyville after the game!!! :D

Downers Grove is about a 30-40 minutes away.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

yeah ... from what I remeber of Tinley Park ... WAY SouthEast Chicago and CIP is out in the West Suburbs (just happened to notice it when I was in town day after Alpine)... during the day I'd estimate a good hour or so with traffic :-? Also noticed a place in Aurora that looked kinda cool for a "themed" restaurant calle the "Key Wester" or somethin like that --- looked like a Joes Crabshack on steroids ... anybody know anything bout that place --- may eat there Thurs night before we go hit the bars 8)

BTW .... Jason and I are goin to the game on Sunday

The Keywester is technically in Naperville: 1975 Glacier Park Boulevard 630.778.8700

Oh yeah, and Tom Carey is playing at the Tinley Holiday Inn again Friday night for those staying there and not wanting to drive anywhere. He can be a good time too.
