OBX help, and wish me luck but don't call me crazy

On Thurs. we're off on our annual surf trip. This is when I take my 2 16yo sons, 10 of their best friends, a pair of 24yo guys and head from NJ to Frisco NC. Is anybody from their who can give me an idea on weather, and ocean temp? I will be going to Ocracoke for a day by myself, so any tips on things to do there, places to eat?

I'm not from there, but I'm close. I'm on the Southern Outer Banks of North Cackalacky. Here's a couple of links, I hope they help:

Okracoke- Go to the Jolly Roger !!!
Frisco beach is really nice, its on the "south turn" on the obx so the water is usually warmer than the northern beaches.
I dont know if it is misquito season yet in Okracoke, but if you see one (they look like birds with teeth) duck cover and run....or just bring a bunch of repellent.
