As I quickly close in on 30, I have begun to realize that it's the little things in my life that make me the happiest. Today has been full of them. It started with being off for 3 days after I wasted last weekend being sick. I awoke to a beautiful morning, an even more beautiful wife, and the feel of my not-yet-born child moving against my wife's increasingly large tummy. After the missus left for work, I went out to do some yardwork. The temperature quickly climbed into the 70's and I mowed a lush, thick carpet of grass, the smell of which cannot be beaten. After finishing, and with such incredible weather (lows tonight only down to 55), I decided to make a run to the store to gather supplies for an evening on the patio. I loaded up my dog, took him to McDonalds for a bite to eat, and continued on my way. Once at the store, I had gotten the hamburger buns, veggies, and chips, and was making my way down the beer aisle. That's when it hit me. I couldn't beleive it. Right then and there I heard Jimmy singing "Mexico" over the store's speakers. A smile came across my face as I opted for a little extra beer. I returned home with the stereo turned up, and continued with what is the most relaxing day I've had in a long time. Cheers to everyone, and I hope your day is going as well for you as mine is for me.

What an uplifting posting. It really put a smile on my face. I am at work today, so not quit as restful as yours, but it is beautful up here also (Maryland). Enjoy your evening on the deck. I am planning on doing the same thing tonight.

All I can say id thank you! This is what I come here for most...to hear about good fortune that happens to people, to know that some people enjoy the little things in life and do not take them for granted.
While my day is no where as wonderful as yours...I am thankful to be heathy enough to be as busy and as stressed as I am!!
