Of course they don't want a Wal-Mart. It's much harder to mug people when they don't have to go from store to store to do their shopping. Plus Wal-Mart won't accept food stamps for crack like the guy that works at the corner bodega.

I hate Wal Mart. They are expected to be the first company to reach one TRILLIONdollars in sales for a year. Although it will take some more years to reach this. They already sould 259 Billion dollars worth of crap last year. If you live in Inglewood and you own a small shop, count your blessings for a while. It is only matter of time before the evil empire gets its way. One last fact, other countries actually have Wal Mart delegates that their only job is to try to get Wal Mart to open a store in their country. They need to be stopped.

I'm all about protecting small towns and outlying areas, but in case any of you didn't see the site, it was a big friggin' parking lot that Wal-Mart would have taken over. I'm sorry, but I don't see the merits of protecting a giant slab of asphalt.

Hey they just don't want to lose the small businesses in the area. You know the Indian stores that sell crack and meth out the back door. It would be too much of a profit loss for the pimps and drug dealers. No pimping due to Wal-Mart security. Ain't LA great :P

If you saw the lot where this WalMart was going, (and I have) you'd have to say "why the h*ll not??".
As much as I dislike WalMart for my personal shopping, this area REALLY needed the kind of economic boost that this store would bring.
Chalk one up for ignorance and stupidity!!
