I figure "Little Miss Magic" was written for Savannah Jane and "Delaney Talks to Statues" is obviously about Delaney. Has Jimmy written any songs for Cameron?
I know he mentions him at the end of "False Echoes" but that song seems to be written more for his father. I thought there was one song for Cameron but I can't remember. Any help?

Beach house on the moon:
Cameron's getting logical, a vulcan in disguise.
And Savanah's other song (for the grown up version of the lady)
Savanah, Fare you well.

Savannah Fare You Well is about a relationship gone sour amidst a storm.

Other than the "Cameron's getting logical" line, I can't think of anything.

I'm thinking you must be referring to "Lone Palm" in which the words of the song read: (Chorus)
Where no bird flies by my window
No ship is tied to my tree
Love is a wave building to a crescendo
ride if you will, ride it with me
No Cameron in Lone Palm.

There is a verse near the end of beach house. Cameron's contemplating I don't know just what he thinks. Is my dad some kind of lunitic with his stories and hijinx. And then when I am old and gray and feel like I'm marooned, he will take me in his rocketship to his beach house on the moon.
I write the newsletter for our club and used this verse as a caption along with a picture of our 4 week old sone Cameron, for the last issue.

I have a live album and can't remember at the moment which one it is but Jimmy says "When your in the music profession, you HAVE to write a song about your children. Or else you go to Hell". I thought that was pretty good. And, how many ladies have seen that Daddy looking at his daughter for the first time. Yeah, she's our Little Miss Magic and she knows it. Last Mango (among lots) says "And Jimmy, there's still so much to be done". My Jimmy LOVES that. They are talking to him!!!

Here is the last verse of False Echos.........
Now the old Chicamauga has slipped by the ways
She lies on the bottom of old Mobile bay
Where the ghosts of his father and his brother are near
They protect him and tell him there’s nothin’ to fear
Cause it’s family tradition we take to the sea
And it’s a time in the future for Cameron and me
Enduring echoes call out from his past
Time ain’t for saving no time’s not for that
Chasing false echoes like a lost legionnaire
He waltzes on memories while he fades like a flare
The skies over Cuba were warmed by the sun
Twenty-fifth of November 1921
