Has anybody gone to Beale St Music Festival?

Just looking for opinions on it - wife and I are taking our annual spring trip and this year we are hitting Memphis. Thanks

Get your tickets yesterday ! If you wiat, you won't get them. Get to the venue early ! Not many places to sit. Be Prepared to fight you way through a massive crowd on Beale St. to get to the venue. My advice, pick a different time to visit Beale or find a different location.

Never been there at the right time. But almost ANY night on Beale Street is a music festival.

I used to go every year when I lived in Memphis from 1989-1996. If you have a chance to go, definately go! Get your tickets as soon as possibe-they do sell fast.

Is this the same thing as the Memphis in May music festival? Some friends and I are talking about doing this.

beale st music fest and the Memphis in May events are 2 different things.
both are worth a trip.
hint. use the local bus shuttle from one of several shopping centers to downtown rather than try to park. and dont try to bring anything to the beale street fest-they check bags,etc. people were passing out two years ago (either the heat, lack of water or too much phun) amd the lines at the (sole) margarita machine were too long for my attention span.
Id plan a trip to memphis during june, etc. always live music on beale street and lots of other things to see. we even got pandas.
