Does any one else have a SOASOAS CD with liner notes to a Mills Bros. record instead of Jimmy's track list. I'm assuming that it's just a mistake, but I didn't know how many were like that.

I don't have that particular CD but those sort of rarities are well worth hanging on to. I'm not a hardcore collector by any means but I do keep my eye out for a few things. I was reading up on collecting a few years ago and was surprised at some of the albums I
thought were real rarities. You would think the flame cover edition of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Street Survivors would be worth a pretty penny. Last time I checked, it's worth around $35 and
that's in mint condition. The truly rare edition of that album that collector's seek out is the 8-track because it is even rarer than the vinyl version. Who would of thunk it? Same thing with albums printed with the wrong serial number, or in your case, another artist's liner notes; these kinds of things are what the buyers pay the most for. A few years ago I picked up a Guy Clark compilation called "Craftsman" that had a defective disc; the center hole was waaaaay off center as well as the inprint of the CD artwork. I wish now I had asked if I could hang on to it. Of course, like a lot of people that collect those sort of things, I'd
never wanna sell it.

Weird. Mine is just blank on the inside left and has the track listing and producer name on the right. MCA is lame enough for not using the original liner notes, but to put notes from another artist’s album? That’s a new level of idiocy right there.
Seriously though, it appears to be a printing error.

It is rather odd. It has one page discussing the career of the Mills Brothers then another page with the track list. I was kinda confused when I bought it, but thought nothing of it. I was looking at it today and figured I'd ask to see if anyone else had the same thing.

Just out of curiosity you may want to check the A1A archives just to see if it's listed, you may have something there. Here's the link:

I couldn't find anything else else on it. It's obviously a flaw, but I thought that all the CDs had it. Maybe I'm the only one. Hmmm.....
Does anyone else have these different liner notes?
