For dessert, go to the Blonde Giraffe for the best Key Lime pie or Frozen Chocolate covered Key Lime pie on a stick around.
I really liked Louie's Back Yard, but it is very expensive. I looked at Shula's menu and the prices were way too high. The Blue Heaven is my favorite place to eat though.

Hey that's a nice Burger King. Sit upstairs on the right side you can see the ocean and the Conch train putting around. I recommend an authentic Cuban restaurant, "El Siboney" It is just a jump off of Duval. Take a right on Louisa St. I believe, and it is on the corner of Catherine St. It is in the middle of a neighborhood and used to be a house. The food is spectacular, huge steaks, yucca, fresh juices etc. Reasonably priced too, you could try to reserve an entire room. Just a suggestion

Anyone ever eaten at that Cuban restaurant right off Mallory Square? Looked great one night after we were leaving sunset.

Kelly's is a great spot...the food is good, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great. we looked at Louie's but it was much too pricey. If anything hit the AfterDeck at Louie's for a drink after dinner. I have heard great things about Blue Heaven but never been there. That is at the top of my list for the next visit.

I gotta go with Mangoes, too. Hubby and I have had some of our best meals in Key West there. Depends on what you want though. Blue Heaven is wonderful but really, really casual. Mangoes is a little more upscale and elegant. I've never been to Blue Heaven at night but do know it's not in the greatest neighborhood. Mangoes is right on Duval and very easy to find and the nighttime atmosphere is great.

I can't remeber the name off the top of my head, but there is a FANTASTIC restaurant in the building that used to be the Pan Am office, and they still have the inside decorated with plane parts, historic photos, etc.
When we were in Key West for Meeting of the Minds last year, our whole family had dinner there, and it was great. They have a beautiful outdoor courtyard/dining area that feels like you're in a private garden. Not too expensive either.
I'll try to find the name. In the meantime, if anyone knows which place I'm talking about, please help me out!

As with all the Key West restaurant threads in the past, I don't think a wrong decision can be made...... each one is unique....

(not that I would know anything about that place) is a great place.

And if you ask, you might even get a paper crown

Promoting BOTH Burger King and the Animal Rescue site...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Whoops. Looks like the place I was talking about in the earlier post was in fact Kelly's, which has already been recommended.
Great place!

Shula's is very nice, though very pricey. I'm a big fan of Conch Republic Seafood Company. I think they handle groups, but have a fixed menu.

I'd have to agree with Kelly's being a great spot for a rehearsal dinner/party. It's (slightly) off the beaten path, a little upscale without being too pricey, and the food & atmosphere is fantastic.
Of course, if money is no object, I would HIGHLY recommend Louie's Backyard. Food is top notch, you can't beat the views, and they've got a nice little bar (The Afterdeck) for drinks after dinner.
Louie's is where I took my fiancée the night we got engaged and we've both been counting the days till we can go back
