I know how popular Great Woods is.. That's why I've been to both shows each of the last 2 years. In fact, my going to BOTH shows is probably why you didn't get any tickets! HA HA!!! Quit your whining dude. It's kinda pathetic.....
Oh... And since you're taking a survey, I'm a Respiratory Therapist. I save lives for a living. What the hell do you do?

Dude - the fact that you're only trying to get tickets to one show puts you at an advantage... you can concentrate your efforts.
The tickets for Alpine and Saturday Chicago went on sale at the same time this year... it's near impossible getting thru for 1 of them, and they sell out in less than 15 minutes. Alas, I got Alpine (for the 1st time ever), but Chicago were sold out by the time I finished my 1st transaction.
And this happens for most of the shows - the onsale times almost always conflict with other shows. So for that reason my phriend, you should count your lucky stars!

Ok, then fork over the cash to someone on Ebay or do whatever you have to do to get the tickets.
As with anything in life, there is a price. If you want tickets you either have to put forth some effort (and a bit of luck) or fork out some cash. If you don't have the cash, then you have to make some changes and free up some money. If you can't make any changes at all to free up the money, then it's an impossible thing you're asking for and you should live within the reality of your situation (sure, I'd love to go out an buy a Lotus or Ferrari but that's not realistic for me, but you don't hear me b*tching about it). If you're not willing to make sacrifices, the don't come down on the people that do whatever they have to in order to get tickets.

By the way there are Charlotte tickets to be had if you want to go see a show.

You know I just realized that telling a bunch of die hard parrotheads to go to only one show a year is like telling a junkie they can only do their perferred drug once a year

yes, it is darned near impossible to get tickets and getting harder each year. new fans, more and more brokers, people who know nothing about buffett going to see what it's all about, etc. and the die hard fans who want to go see him more than once.
I just find it odd that you chose to single out the latter-this site is full of lots of good, longtime fans and it is well within their right to go as often as they can afford to, and get tickets for. I go a couple of times a year when I can, but i could not get tickets for a couple of the concerts I wanted to attend. I will keep trying (though I will not pay a scapler), but if I don't get tickets, I'll have a great evening at home, listening to the concert and chatting with folks here.
I am sorry you are disappointed, but your approach to this conversation has all been negative. make friends here and maybe some day someone will help you out-I've seen it happen!

Wow! I don't think he deserves tickets. We try to go to as many shows as we can, and I don't think anyone has the right to tell us that we can't spend our money or our time the way we want. Next thing he'll be telling us we can't take our keets because they're taking tickets away from him!

All woman. I can personally vouch for that.
BTW I have always gone to just one show a year and there are years I have missed because Jimmy dosn't play the Seattle area every year. However if the chance to see more then one show a year came up there is nobody on this earth big enough to stop me.

And by the way I have a fulltime job, house payment, car payment and spend quality time with my keets. Part of that quality time is going to see Bubba.

Ashaway,
Last year I went to 3 shows. This year I only have tickets for 1 (but am still hopeful). By your reasoning, there should have been 2 tickets to 2 shows that would have been available to you. If you really wanted to go, you should have found someone, anyone, to stand in line for you or be on a really fast computer.
If those are not options, how do you suppose that you will see any good show this year? Simply showing up here crying about it will not help. Go to the ticket exchange postings and look there. There is no scalping allowed here, so if you find them they will be for cost + TM charges. You are 3 short clicks away from a solution, or maybe that was not your intention.
