I didn't have a real prime spot in front of the stage. I was on the sidewalk against the wall, but right next to the door where the band came in and out of the building.

If Fenway doesn't work out I might fly solo for this one. All I have to do is show up on the sidewalk Thursday afternoon and be ready for an all-night party. That's it right?

I read through the thread but I've got a couple of questions. Bear with me if I missed the answers.

Can you have a styrofoam cooler waiting in line? That way I could drink all the beer and throw the cooler away when I went inside.

Does the store across the street sell beer? Food?

How many people do they let in?

There are a bunch of pizza shops and all that have beer right by the Today Show Plaza. The Metro Cafe (I think that is the name) on 48th even sells sixers...

I wouldn't recommend it, but ya can give it a shot. The cops don't say anything unless there's something obvious going on. A styrofoam cooler sitting next to you if kinda flirting with that obvious thing. If you could find a smaller cooler and keep it in a duffle bag that would work. Then just take and replace as you drink. Also make sure you're drinking out of a closed unmarked container. Last year I had 2 gallons of margarita in a duffle bag and was drinking out of a closed travel mug. The mug even had a straw with a big parrot sticking out of it and no one said a word.

They don't sell beer, but refer to Zanth's post above for the place that does. They store does have food, in fact they've got like a food bar thing where you pay by the pound. Not sure how late they keep that out though. But if that's closed they've got plenty of snacky stuff. Also there's a pizza joint right next to that store that, last year, was serving people beer in coke cups and letting them leave. Not sure if that will happen again, probably depends on how cool the guy is working there that night.

I think you mean the store? As many as will fit. There's only one bathroom and usually the line doesn't get too bad till about 3 or 4 am, so pee early and pee often!

C YA THERE!!!! :D

On 48th Street, halfway between 5th and 6th Aves. I'll be the one with the big, slutty inflatable palm tree sitting next to me!

We'll have the tags on for sure, hey PORT, you gonna be there? If so maybe you could bring the BN flag. If not, could you loan to us? I can give it back to you at Camden...
