My story is yet to be written, but you'll find a whole bunch of stuff at this website. At the bottom of the page are 2 links for JMP threads you can check out....
Zanth made this page all by himself! Isn't he a sexy, brilliant god?!!!

We have two other young parrotheads coming, Monkey Boy has been designated as the ophicial welcoming committee for the younger crowd. He will be performing puppet shows and the like as entertainment.

As for is it worth it, it's gonna be a fun time. Where you coming from?

I would not mind those directions from Penn Station....I came up last year on the train from Harrisburg, PA and then when I got there was totally lost trying to walk from Penn Station to Rock Center...not a bad walk, just got lost.....so any help this year would be greatly appreciated.

Walking directions from Penn Station:

Find your way to the 7th Ave exit (will be by the New Jersey Transit section of Penn Sta)
When you come up the stairs onto 7th Ave, start walking to your left until you get to 48th Street (Penn Station is at 34th)
When you get to 48th, make a right. When you hit 6th street, start looking for a bunch of crazy parrotheads and a Monkey Boy humping a palm tree.

Subway directions from Penn Sta. ($2.00 fare)

In Penn Sta find the Subway for the 1 or 9 (red line)
Take the 1 or the 9 uptown to 50th Street (two stops)
When you get out at 50th Street start walking towards 6th Ave (follow the flow of traffic on 50th, the cars will be going towards 6th)
Cross over 6th, then start walking to the right
When you get to 48th, make a left, look for the line

TikiTom, where are you in northern nj? I am in Bergen County. If I go (and I probably will) I will drive in. But I haven't decided how early I am going in. Probably not as early as NYCParrothead, but probably a lot earlier than 5 am. I think by 5 am last year, Jimmy had already greeted the crowd and rehearsed. Am I correct, Shane?

As what's left of my mind recalls, you are correct... Jimmy came on around 4:30, 4:45... If you don't get there till 5 am you will probably be behind the stage looking over a sea of heads and you'll be lucky to spot any more than the occasional glimpse of Jimmy... My recommendation would be to get there no later than 3 am.... But who wants to get up that early! So, my ultimate recommendation would be to get there at 4 pm the day before and just don't go to sleep! That gets you around the getting up early problem! Of course, if the pholks ain't gonna let that happen, just do the best you can to get there as early as you can.

Sorry I didn't get your messages, I was away for a few days. Thanks for stepping in there Zanth and reassuring my utmost respect and lusting for your manhood!

I have another question that I was hoping someone would help me with...Someone I know may be able to get me a ticket to come up on a bus for FREE...however I am not sure if coming for FREE is worth it depending on where the bus station is in NYC....Last year I took the train and came into Penn Station....Any comments or suggestions???

The bus would probably take you to Port Authority, that's 42nd St. & 8th Ave. It's a few blocks closer to Rockefeller Center.

thanks so much for your help....I was trying to find some info on the internet about where I would be going, but I just could not seem to find anything....or at least that I understood....So, if I go to Port Authority, then I am pretty close to Rock Center?
