getting tix day of show

Post by OceanCityGirl »

As i've said before, no tix to Camden. I know people go up and buy them day of show. Can anybody recommend this to me. Do you have any tips, how early will I need to go to try to find them. How can I avoid getting fakes? I just can't swing the insane ebay prices. Thanks guys.

Sometimes they hold on to tickets (no idea why) until the day of the show....When I saw Metallica I got my tickets literally an hour before the show...try calliong up TM at the last minute and see what happens!!!

Dont know if this will help, but Springsteen put tix on sale every show at 3pm. No, I never got tix like this but it was all over his sites.

Check here and other boards regularly as the tour begins and maybe there will be some kind of standard set by Jimmy (or whoever runs the tour)

Be sure to check the tm site starting a week before the show. There are returns, you will have to use the will call window, but you will get seats. Good luck. Fins Up!!! :pirate:

I stopped paying ticketwhore in 1992. I have gone to Alpine every year since. I have been as good as 8th row and as bad as the very last row (CCC) but I have never been shut out and I have never paid more than $20 over face value

Usually if you hit ticketmaster as soon as they open the day of the show---thats your best chance

ok here goes. look at the seating chart to see where you want to sit. know what the face value of the ticket is. decide what you are willing to pay. make an offer. if the seller is unwilling to negoiate, then walk away. there will be somebody else more willing.

They hold tix for the mayor,Govenor,VIPS, and band members
for their families/friends also they are never sure of exactly
how much room the stage and soundboard will take up until
they are in place.
also get on the e-mail list for ticketbasterd as last year I was
e-mails the chance at "suddenly availiable" tix at 3 venues
last year. and this was always 2-3 days prior to the show.

good luck and if your dealing with the "yardbirds" don't be afraid
to walk from a couple of them if the price is too high haggle a little
if the price is too far from "face" good luck.

Ticket releases for Camden the last few years have not been plenty, if any.

Ever since he went to one show, tickets have minimal. I remember seeing people at the box office after 6:00 for the past few years and people had been there since early morning.

Sometimes you can get lucky in the parking lots if you get there early.

I have been to several venues and got tickets the day of the show. Most of the time a good ole parrot head would sell me one at face value. My best story is last year. Me, my wife and brother and his girlfriend went to Tampa the weekend of the show. We decided that we were going to hit scalpers up to get in. About 5 hours before the show my wife suggested we stop by the ticket office there at the ice palace. She came back with 4 tickets that "were released late because they may have an obstructed view." Turned out to be on end of third row on the corner of stage, right beside where Jimmy came out. He came over and shook our hands while waiting to go on stage. It was great!

Just to prove something---all cubs tickets are sold out for the rest of the year. I just go to look for 2 tickets to this afternoons game, 2 tickets right by 3rd base 9th row.

I got lucky last year and got tix to the Merriweather show the day before. Of course I tried ticketmaster about 15 times a day for a month before I got them, but if you are persistant (and have an understanding boss) you could get lucky!

I heard that Corona dumps their seats at 6:00 pm. I was advised to go to the will call window around 6 and see what they have to offer. :pirate:
Bring me the hot sauce, bring me a beer. Going to be the last man standing, but where do you go from here?
