Fourth of July BBQ

hey guys i am planning a 4th of july bbq and i want some inspiration, anyone have any good party theme or party activity ideas, i was thinking a luau but that seems to be done by a lot of people so i wanted to do something new, thanks for the help ladies and gents

For an Independence Day celebration, just stick to the basics - alcohol and high explosives

You could do a FIESTA theme. I recently organized a chili cookout and found alot of great decorations for it because Cinco De Mayo is coming up in May. Just a thought!

This is our country. Fiesta is kinda Mexican. Pirate is kinda Caribbean. I say celebrate the 4th with the Red White and Blue banners, tablecloths etc followed by fireworks!!

i see your point ph4ever, i like the pirate idea so far, i can mix up some pirate punch and drink carribean car bombs(diver downs) regardless of the theme buffett music will be involved, keep the ideas coming people i appreciate it

In my neighborhood, we are planning a tie in to the Firecracker 400 NASCAR race in Daytona. We're arranging to rent a large projection screen to show the race coverage at the pool. It's a night race so the timing of it seems to work pretty well.
