Leon Russell
Leon Russell was great on Friday night despite turning in a relatively short set (1 hour, 10 minutes) with no encore. In that short amount of time he somehow managed to cover most of the major songs of his career including: "Stranger in a Strange Land", "Out in the Woods", "Dixie Lullaby", "Back to the Islands", "A Song For You", "Hummingbird", "Lady Blue", "Bluebird", "Tightrope", "Delta Lady" and a few covers like the Stones' "Wild Horses", Dylan's "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall", "Sixteen Tons" and "Rollin' In My Sweet Baby's Arms". He was backed by an outstanding band that included his daughter Tina Rose who seems to be destined for her own remarkable career someday.

Yeah, but remember how great he was? All alone on the stage singing and playing? It was definately a great moment . . .ph4ever wrote:Leon has always done a great show. It's been YEARS since I've seen him but the last time I did he had to be helped on stage and was using a cane. He looked old and tired
If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before ...
