4/16/04 Florida Benefit Show- A Sign of Things to Come?

Post by kurt »

Looking over the show, I thought that this maybe a sign of things to come for the LTC Tour. Jimmy has admitted several times that he really does not like to practice for upcoming tours due to (most likely) boredom and lack of spontaneity... any songs that you think would be added or omitted/ rearranged?

This does look like a damn good set list though! :pirate:

I assume once June 8th rolls around, there'll be a lot more of the new stuff in the set list. This list was not as "country" as I expected.

Anybody know if the crowd was mostly Parrotheads or local benefactors who wanted to support a good cause?

I dont think JB can play Gods Own Drunk anymore due to Lord Buckleys son suing Jimmy a while back. The song the Lawyer and the a**hole came from that, though I dont know for sure if he still can't play it. I would love to hear it though!

As much as I want to get rid of CIP, and WDWGDAS in the set list in favor of other not so played songs, I would want to keep Come Monday. I always look forward to hearing Jimmy say, its so nice to be back in (insert city). Always a high point in the concert for me.

I know I'm going to catch some negative vibes from all of you from across the States (but I have to say that it's really COOL to have someone respond from 50-3000 miles away as you well may know... :D ) but I don't want to hear WDWGDAS AND CBP either... LOVE the rest of the list but I wonder what Jimmy will play off of LTC????!!!! :x Xcept LTC, what else? :x

If you notice their are only 21 songs on this setlist. I believe he usually plays around 28 songs during the big shows. If this is the case then he has some room to fill with new and old songs. Other than that I really hope he keeps this setlist for Tampa. :pirate:
Bring me the hot sauce, bring me a beer. Going to be the last man standing, but where do you go from here?

The show was great. There was NO intermission.

I belive there was a Peter mayer and Nadirah song played second and then Hot Hot Hot before Jimmy came out with 5 O clock.

No License ti Chill which was Strange because even the FANCY sand castle/sculpture refered to it as Buffett on the Beach License to chill.

ALSO, they ran out of tequilla at one point. !!!!

But it was top shelf liquor, ALL show and after for a bit
Oh so many things I can’t remember
And way too many things I can’t forget
What time does church begin? Tell the priest I’m checking in
I want to cleanse my soul so I can do it again and again and again and again
