Mine will be three this year. We don't have plans to take him yet but if we did next year would he need a ticket? or could we just get him a lawn ticket and have him sit on our laps(not that we ever sit down)?

We start our keets at 5. Our daughter's first was last year. Our biggest debate tho is if the keets should go every year or every other year. You can't let loose as much with the keets so that makes me think every other year, but who knows how many tours are to come...would hate to have them miss out on those great experiences.
Our youngest is only 11 weeks old so he's got a ways to go yet.
I've seen kids that look around 3 or 4 at the concerts and they do seem to enjoy themselves so I'd say go for it!

I have two keets. The oldest is 4 and will be attending her 3rd JB concert in Ft. Lauderdale May 1st, she was 2 for the first show. Last year I brought both keets, the youngest being 1. This year just the 4 year old, because my 2 year old (although she loves Jimmy) will find the show too long and want to run around and not allow my wife any peace.
It seems alot of venues state that once the child has had its first birthday they will need a ticket. Check the venue.
Next year and from then on the whole family goes again for as long as we can.

I've got coastal confessions and a few more, how about you?

I know that at the Pepsi Center in Denver you have to have a ticket for anyone over 2. If you have good seats like last year, Jimmy will probably wave from on stage if you have your keet with you (esp during Fins). We sat in the front row in Denver last year and he waved to our daughter. It was sooooo super cool. We sat kind of to the side of the stage by the sound equipment and one of the roadies gave our daughter a JB guitar pick.

My oldest daughter turns 8 on 8/26 - I'm hoping that will be her 1st Buffett show, along with her sister that will turn 6 three weeks later.
They both got that "last man standing" gene from me, so I don't foresee any stamina issues with either of them... the thrill and electricity in the air will power them thru the final encore, and they can sleep on the ride home.

You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave

Both my daughters also got JB guitar picks at the Tampa show, last year. My oldest thought that was so cool. My youngest couldn't have cared less, she will later.buffettbride wrote:I know that at the Pepsi Center in Denver you have to have a ticket for anyone over 2. keets
My daughter's first show was Vegas in 2000, she was 7 at the time. She had a great time and has managed to make most of the shows in Vegas since then. She's also been to shows in Denver, Phoenix and San Diego. When she goes we make sure we're not on the lawn. I agree you have to tone down the partying when you take your keets and yet they have such a great time that it's worth it.

Thanks captainjoe...
I'm not meaning to trigger or continue this as a debate, but if you do bring your keets to the concert be responsible Parrotheads about it and prepare them for what they will see and hear there. (and respect the non-keet fun that others are trying to have).
I'd rather let my keet go to the concert than watch the evening news!

well you can't expect others to act differently because your keet is there either.
When my keet was small we just didn't go as early in the day. But he had a blast and that's what counts
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

that's totally my point! 50,000 parrotheads aren't going to act any differently because my 6yr old is there. i'd rather her see drunk adults flashing and being dorks than watching people kill eachother on TV.
