OK, I'm curious.
All I came up with is

Shakespeare's Birthday is the 23rd.

1985 that date was the debut of New Coke.

You got it ejr. New Coke was officially released. What a sad day. We had a family friend that worked for the local Coke bottling plant. He gave us a sample a few months before it went on sale, & my parents immediately began stockpiling the "old" Coke. I think that Coke Classic was brought out about 6-7 months later, but I swear it seemed like over a year.

My name is Clay & I am addicted to Coca-Cola.

No, you're not the only one. We can actually agree on this.
I preferred "New Coke" because I'm a Pepsi drinker, and it
was LOTS closer to Pepsi than Coke.
Now I prefer Image
Throw in a good shot of rum.... yum.
And Zero carbs!!!

My kids say Coke tastes like "malted battery acid".

I drink diet coke like it is going out of style. When they added lime to it, forget about it. It's like drinking Corona with coke while I am working. It's like a drug; and they know it. :pirate: :pirate:

I need coffee. But it has to be StarBucks. My computer lab is right down the hall from the headmaster of the school. His secretary makes the coffee each day; It is StarBucks. I drink 3 to 4 cups everyday (you would too if you had to teach computers to K to 6th graders). But yes, Diet Coke with Vanilla is great and so is Diet Coke with Lime.

YES! It is so freakin' addictive! But I love it...definitely the best new soda introduced in a long time!

I'm a Georgia boy so it's all Coke. The only reason Pepsi is allowed is so we can spot the Yankees coming.

Growing up, our household called it either a soft drink or a coke.
If it was Coca-Cola, we'd call it that. Otherwise, coke with a "little C".

I was raised by two Alabama Coke drinkers. My Aunt would have
a "piece of a Coke" in a paper kitchen cup for medicinal purposes
(and it was only Coke!) at least once a day until just before
she died at 97. (It worked pretty well, huh?) I was given multiple
doses of Coca-Cola syrup as an anti-emetic as a child. (You learn
to stop throwing that sweet stuff up after about the 3rd or 4th dose.)
I was born farther south than 99% of the people on this board, and...
I still prefer Pepsi!!!
