Does anyone have any reccomendations for a relatively cheap cruise of all inclusive resort I could check out in the Caribbean for New Year's Eve?

Good job pimping, PHAW, I sent those ladies an email last night.
The kids thing, I can take or leave, it doesn't matter that much, it's more about what we can afford right now. We're a group of three or four twentysomething couples that always spends New Year's eve together and want to do it in the caribbean this year, if possible.
Yeah, the big selling point of the all inclusive is BOOZE. Definately. I went on a cruise this summer, and my liquor expenses at the end was almost as much as the trip itself cost, but we got to go to some great ports of call, so either or, you win some, you lose some. Just as long as it's warm, I won't care!

OH! To spend New Year's in the caribbean. My son and his brand new wife went to an all-inclusive around Christmas, and if he hadn't got the flu (NO KIDDING!), they would've eaten and drinking (drunken?) themselves silly. In Jamaica. Not far from the best Margaritaville in the world. Bless their hearts---can you imagine....getting the flu on your honeymoon?

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. He didn't feel so good the day of the wedding and by the time they got to their honeymoon (Florida coast) he had the full-blown flu. Plus it rained to whole time, so now they're planning the "Honeymoon II" for this summer.

You don't have any idea how much that trip ran them, do you?

Cruises vs. All Inclusive

As I understand it, Christmas and New Years are PEAK season for cruises and thus the price will be fairly steep. There are lots of all inclusive resorts scattered about the Caribbean depending on where and what you want. Have you considered Cancun, Cozumel? It's still peak season at that time but there are tons of hotels and resorts to pick from. Additionally there are a number of tour operators that run charters from various parts of the country to Mexico that will get you down and back for less money.

Sandals Resort in Negrille was awesome. I went there a couple of years back. The food, staff, and service were incredible. Not to mention the drinks. They dont allow tipping....you get top shelf ANYTIME you want it. Needless to say I was three sheets to the wind most of the time. They had a lot of activities to do as well. The prices are low too, atleast in the summer anyway. If you want a little excitement, you can walk down the beach to Hedonism II....its right next door. CRAZY PEOPLE!!! but a hell of a lot of fun!!

NJPP did such a great job on my last trip that I'm telling all my friends go travel through her. The trip was so good I got engaged.

Depending on the location you are wanting to travel to, I can help you out a little for the Cancun area. First time we went we found an all inclusive for $1500 for the whole family... 2 adults 2 kids.... OR... if you want just a good hotel and you furnish your own entertainment, there is a hotel in Cancun City that is absolutely beautiful... it's an older Spanish Resort instead of the US high dollars ones there...single rooms are about $15.00 a night and suites (kitchen and 2 bedrooms) were $35.00 We use to stay there all the time when I worked in Mexico City.. airfare would be the only other thing you would need to look at...
