Margarita

performed by: Israel Kamakawiwo`ole

G C (4X¹s)

G C
On a hilltop in Tahiti, as I gaze across the bay
G D7
At the island of Morea, standing in the day
G C
And I love thee margarita, serve me cool Hinano beer
G D7
I¹ll be a fool in paradise for five full hours here

Chorus:
C G C G C G D7
Yorana can¹t you stand the heat Yorana dancing in bare feet
C G C G C G D7 G C G C
Yorana when you laugh at me Yorana I.....I¹m in ecstacy

G C
My name is margarita, and the salt upon your lips
G D7
Tell me lemon and tequila is the flavor of your kiss
G C
All the magic and the beauty and the humor of this isle
G D7
Is captured like a goldfish in the sparkle of your smile

Chorus:

G C
The sunshine warms the mountain and makes you golden brown
G D7
The water laps around you where I only hope to drown
G C
The coconut plantations, the sea and sky above
G D7
The South Pacific islands they are all caressing you

Chorus:

G C
The crimson dress you¹re wearing, with nothing underneath
G D7
The flower there behind your ear, the grass beneath your feet
G C
Margarita, margarita, please dance with me tonight
G D7
We will dance together where the stars are shining bright

Chorus:
G C
Margarita, margarita, I come from far away
G D7
Let¹s go take a dive in Makawi¹i Bay
G C
Margarita, margarita, we walkin¹, in the lair
G D7
We go in the dark and we don¹t need a spear

I think you're missing "Hey Good Lookin'" as the second song of
the second set. Other than that I think you got them all.

Great show! The crowd had great energy -- Jimmy even made some
comment about it. Awesome -- how will I manage to wait another year?

I think "conched" and "Someday I Will" have missed a song. In the number 10 position it should be Volcano before Why Dont We Get Drunk. I know because I was at both the Charlotte and Raleigh shows. I would say, that tonight Jimmy got it right for Pirate, because he used a wireless guitar, and there was no way to get unplugged, like in Charlotte!

WoooHooo!

What a show!!! Seemed, from the floor, Mr. Buffett was
really into the NC/Raleigh history lesson last evening. I
enjoyed every word. Got the chance to help out at the M'ville
Shrimp bus. Made Virgin Margs most of the afternoon.
Got to meet some incredible pholks. Show was awesome
as always. Jimmy and the Reefers are just SO professional.
Not as many lyric goofs as Charlotte. One interesting
note, I snagged a set list from the sound board guys
and the second encore song after band intros was
scheduled to have been "Back To the Island". Changed
to Fruitcakes. Y'all have a blast in Cola on Thursday!
Friend saw Jimmy and Ramos at Get Outdoors, a little
homegrown REI up near the Falls Lake d*m Tuesday
afternoon. See everyone at Nissan!

-JMay, just another fuitcake wastin' away in Margaraleighville

That's right gingerbreadman, I had Volcano between BEG and WDWGD making it a 13 song set (I think).

Must have been nice to see back-to-back shows. We're catching Indy (July 6) and Cinci (August 31) and can't wait.

Looks like he mixed it up a bit more in Raleigh...hope there are still more surprises to come...maybe Cowboy, 6 String Music, Take Another Road - there are too many to list.

IT WAS!!! I can barely speak - didn't help on the 2 conference calls I had today :P :-?

the last song aPL@40, with Amy Lee - done to the fans behind the stage, was Fantastic!

Jolly Mon

Forgive me if this has been discussed - I only went back two pages! :D
I was at the Charlotte show and then tuned into RM for the Raleigh show -
Why is he dropping a verse of Jolly Mon? Is that normal? He skips JM getting thrown into the ocean and goes straight to them swimming to the sky! Can't be that much of a time issue, what gives? In Charlotte, I thought maybe they were serving the good stuff back stage at intermission as he had a few other fumbles but then he did the same in Raleigh.....

Seemed like a great show - I was jealous that you folks in Raleigh got two of my favorite Buffett tunes where we had "Scarlet Begonia" and "Another Saturday Night." But then, that's why we go more than once, heh?
