A couple of years back I saw Aerosmith at the Tweter Center in Camden NJ and to my surprise the had a stage set up on the lawn and played a couple of songs from it. During Jimmy's indoor shows he has always played to the back of the stage, and I was wondering if anyone thinks that maybe on this tour, or maybe, a future tour he would put a stage on the lawn. He always makes references to the lawn and I think that it would be out of this world if he perfromed for the lawn on the lawn. Just a thought. What do you think?

I can't remember if it was '96 or '97 at Merriweather Post in Bethesda MD (too much tequila or not quite enough). Anyway, Jimmy and Fingers (or Mac, damn, must have been too much) came out on a scissor jack vehicle (like the ones you see in malls replacing lights on the high ceilings) on the sidewalk that separates the seats from the lawn and played to the lawn. It was the coolest thing. Haven't seen him do it since, but I thought it was the ultimate gesture.

a few years ago in Great Woods, Jimmy started the concert in the back of the pavilion section on a platform and performed a song..I can't remember the year or the song, but I think that's the closest he's come to the lawn at GW at least in the past few years.

  :-?

this was done to start the show a few years ago. jimmy and fingers did a few songs, and then when finished, the rest of the reefers started up a song and jimmy and fingers raced thru the crowd down to the stage.

Check thhttp://www.buffettfan.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=95e pictures posted here, from the tampa show and sat. night on radio margaritaville he said welcome to the lawn people and appeared to be doing a couple of song back there. Back in, I think 96' in Atlanta, Jimmy and Fingers did 2 songs from a lift between the seats and the lawn to start the show, we were nearby and could hardly believe it, it was great, and all the people in seats were turning around and trying to figure out why all the lawn people had started cheering! :pirate:
