Definitely take the Jeep tour of the island offered by DePalms Tours:
http://www.depalm.com/activities/activity.cfm?ID=2

It is the best way to see the entire island and see all the sites (California lighthouse, natural bridge, gold smelter, etc.). The tour lasts an entire day--you start in the morning and tour most of the island. Then you go out to DePalms Island for lunch and snorkeling. Then, you go Aruba's national park. Definitely worth the money.

I spent my honeymoon in Aruba 4 years ago, and I could go on and on. But I won't do that here. If you want more info or recommendations, just PM me. 8)

Enjoy your trip! I hope to get back there sometime in the not-too-distant future.

I love Aruba, can you take me with you guys? :D We've been three times and I would go every year if I could.

Suggestions:

Drink many Aruba Aribba's!

Go to El Gaucho (sp?) at least one night for dinner, even if your at an all-inclusive. It's my favorite place, and once of the best places to eat on the Island. Famous for their steaks, etc.

At night, hit Carlo and Charlie's downtown near the port. Also, Iguana Joe's downtown is a good spot for a cold drink and people watching (if you stay to closing time, don't be surprised when the waitresses jump on the tables, take their tops off and start dancing).

Other than that, just relax, that's what Aruba is for. "Where Happiness Lives" is true. It pretty much never rains, it's always warm, the people are very friendly, and it's very safe.

Not sure where your staying but last time we were there the La Cabana resort had a rotating 2 for 1 happy hour. It would start at swim-up bar in the courtyard area like 4 to 5:30, then at the front pool bar from 5:30-7:00 and then the inside bar from 7-8. It's a great spot to drink cheap if they still have it.

Enjoy your trip!
