I guess I was referring more to the lyrical changes he has made in some of his best songs. It just kinda left me feeling empty when he played "devil" as encore and sung "I told you once you son of a gun...". Long-haired Country Boy just isn't the same now either. Oh well, like I said, still a great show - I'm just very happy I also had several opportunities to see him pre-conversion.
I see where you're coming from and agree.

1) Buffett - 'nuff said
2) Eagles - saw 'em 2 years ago - Joe Walsh stole the show...incredible guitar player.
3) McCartney - saw him in '89 - would love to see him again
4) Stones - still kickin'
5) RUSH - most technically perfect live show I've ever seen - yes Getty Lee actually plays bass (incredibly I must say), sings lead, and played "keyboard" with his feet...yes his freaking feet! Serious talent for a 3 man band.
Honorable mention shows I've seen:
James Taylor
CSNY
Billy Joel
Cheap Trick
Wish I'd seen:
Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Santana
Police
Dead
Fleetwood Mac
and of course, The Beatles

After Hell Freezes Over Tour, they did a 2002 North American Tour which was phantastic - beter setlist (usually around 30 songs) and less acoustic stuff. check out

I would love to see them again but if I had my choice of one or the other, I'll take Buffett every time

There it is! I still have yet to see them, but have heard that they put on one of the best shows out there. They've gotta get back to the north east!
I have no list... I hate lists!

I know!!! I've been to sooooo many concerts that it was hard to come up with 5. After I listed my 5 I thought about other concerts that were fun and memorable. Like when Godzilla sat in two rows front of me at a Frank Zappa concert.
