we must have been dating in high school or something..... I must have seen poison, great white, ratt, cinderella and all those bands twice back in the day. You might have been one of the girls I feel in love with at those concerts. Seems like I would find one a concert....

I would have to agree that AC/DC was one of the best rock concerts I ever went to.

Of course Jimmy is the overall best. :D

I would believe that!

The great thing about him is that he's got so much obvious SRV influence, yet he still leaves room for his own style. He doesn't get nearly the recognition he deserves (just like SRV, before we lost him). Go figure...

well I've heard of him but maybe it's because I live in Dallas. I know people who have seen him give free shows - just the same as SRV used to do.

I've seen Charlei Daniels several times - as recently as last week. If you get the chance, go. IMO, his shows have suffered a bit since he was "reborn", but he still puts on a hell of a performance.
I met Charlie Daniels at a concert in the mid-80's. He played at the University I was working at. I was a cop there at the time and did security at the concert....he was such a nice guy. Wanted me to take him fishing.....but he wasn't in town long enough.
Also got to meet the guys from Alabama, very nice.

I saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd about 6 or 7 years ago, when his first CD came out. He played Voodoo Child and if you closed your eyes you would have sworn he was channeling Hendrix. The kid can play. Jonny Lang isn't bad either, he opened for The Stones at the Roseland Ballroom in 2002. Great show.

I saw Charlie Daniels on a three way bill with .38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd back in the 90s and while they were all good I much rather would of seen all of them in their heyday back in the 70s.

As for Kenny Wayne, I saw him last summer on yet another three way bill, this one with Ted Nugent and ZZ Top. While he was very good, he did quite a bit of showboating which I thought detracted from his overall performance. I also learned that Ted doesn't take too kindly to requests for Dixie Chicks songs. :D ZZ were great. I found it hard to believe it took me so long to finally see them in concert when Tres Hombres was one of the very first albums I ever bought way back in the early 70s.

Haven't seen ZZ Top - yet. Saw Nugent a few times, once the day before he was Guest of Honor at our county's annual pigeon shoot (yeah, PETA just loves us . ). He puts on a hell of a show. I was never really way into his music, but he is by far my favorite celebrity personality. His reality show is gonna kick a$$.

I'll always be a fan of Ted's music (most of it, anyway) but after some racist remarks he made while on tour with Kiss a few years ago in Texas I really don't have much respect for him in that regard, or his politics for that matter. He was such a ham at the ZZ show I thought someone was going to have to give him the hook because he was about to cut into their stage time which I found disrespectful to them.

top 5 i dont know but without a doubt the best show i've ever seen a band put on was Blues Traveler.and it was more than once so i'd say it wasnt just a fluke(or me being too drunk  )
