Many of you may have never heard of them but O.A.R. is an AMAZING band live. I have seen them 15 times and each time is better than the last.
Then tour 10 out of 12 months and tickets are usually 20-25$ so you guys should really check out one of their shows. Obviously even though O.A.R. is my favorite band I am not comparing O.A.R. to the amazing performances of Buffett, U2, Rolling Stones, etc. but I am just throwing their name out there.

I can list my best shows but really can't put them in any particular order because there are different reasons on why they are my best:
Genesis (actually this will ALWAYS be #1 and I'm a little surprised they didn't make the list so far)
Boston (I guess this will ALWAYS be #2)
Jimmy Buffett
Jim Morris/Big Bamboo Band
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Peter Mayer Group
oopsie...was it only supposed to be five? My bad.

I saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd about 6 or 7 years ago, when his first CD came out. He played Voodoo Child and if you closed your eyes you would have sworn he was channeling Hendrix. The kid can play. Jonny Lang isn't bad either, he opened for The Stones at the Roseland Ballroom in 2002. Great show.
i've seen them both.they were great.lang opened for blues traveler, that was the best show i've ever seen.

O.A.R. is amazing. I consider myself fortunate they got their start right here in Columbus and got to see them frequently. They are opening for DMB this summer, too!
I agree with parrothead338, check them out if you haven't already.

I've seen Charlei Daniels several times - as recently as last week. If you get the chance, go. IMO, his shows have suffered a bit since he was "reborn", but he still puts on a hell of a performance.
If I ever get the chance to see him, I'll be sure to definately go.
I think in Sepetember he's coming to a couple of places that are within a three hour drive for me, but I'm sure it'll definately be worth the trip.
I actually called a radio talk show that he was a guest on about a year ago, was able to get through, and got to talk to him. He's an AWESOME human being.

Other than Buffett.....and not necessarily accdording to my personal taste (i was once a kid and have almost grown keets who have expanded my musical horizon!) but by observing energy, enthusiasm and appreciation from both the crowd and the act on stage:
Stones
Tim McGraw
R.E.M.
Bare Naked Ladies
Dave Matthews
honorable mention to ZZ Top

Just to change things up a little, the thread asked for the top 5 bands we've seen in concert. I listed my 5 then came back and gave honorable mention for a few more. But the best concert I ever went to was the Concert for NYC at Madison Square Garden that Paul McCartney organized after September 11. There were some acts we could have done without, Backstreet Boys first among them. But David Bowie, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Mick Jagger & Keith Richards, The Who (they just about blew the roof off the Garden), Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Elton John, Billy Joel, McCartney and a few others. What a night that was.

Thanks! I used to work with a guy who looked just like "Milton" also. I think it's a federal requirement that all offices must have a guy just like this
Best line of the movie for me has to be right at the end, with Milton on the beach...

LIPH, I just saw Jonny Lang last year for the first time and it was, indeed a good show. I was actually even MORE impressed with the band that opened up for him called "Indigenous." I was BLOWN away by this group. Anyone a fan of them???

Wow-there are some great shows listed on here! I was surprised to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but yes, they do put on a great show!!! (The added lights & pyro this year were AWESOME!) I've seen many great preformances; to narrow it down to 5, I'll try!
Jimmy
AC/DC
Paul McCartney (woulda loved to have seen the Beatles!)
Styx (even without Dennis DeYoung, still awesome!)
John Cougar
Would love to add Eagles & Aerosmith to the list, would give anything to see Queen (original, with Freddie!!). I'm very excited about Hall & Oates, will see them in August!
Earth, Wind, & Fire, Alan Jackson, BareNakedLadies, Sawyer Brown, Lonestar, Counting Crows, Chris LaDoux, Jackson Browne (saw acoustic show), Bad Company, Billy Squire, Clint Black (I'm thinking this list could go on & on!) all put on EXCELLENT shows!!!!
